Hello, recently i discovered that the 1.0 battles are getting out of hand when players use a BR 1.7 or higher aircraft which bothers me somewhat as i rely on a balanced BR.1.0 vs BR 1.0 planes. Could this be limited to only 1.0 planes?

The BR matchmaking tries it’s best to match you with as many players as it can on the same BR as you, but it can add players that are one BR step above or below to fill out the teams.
So if you for example play BR 5.0 you can face anything between 4.0 and 6.0 but the closer the vehicle is to 5.0 the more often you will see it.

Lol if you think 1.0 is getting out of hand, try playing top tier. With 1.0 - 2.0, the technological differences don’t vary very (lol) much–you might face monoplanes, yet nothing too different. Yet being uptiered as a result of endless premium spam facing tanks with Gen II thermals whilst only having fuzzy Gen I is a real pain in the ass

There has never been any such mode outside of new player protection - and it’s not even obvious that that exists!
But if it does then that is what you have been experiencing, and sounds like you’ve just exited it and are now in “the real world”.
At 1.0 in arcade you will be facing aircraft up to 2.3 - it’s a bit of an incentive to move up the tech tree!
