Bots Getting All kills Navy RB

Anyone else is absolutely done with the bots getting all your kills? Just popped all 3 shell rooms of a Sovetsky Soyuz and he is at 2% crew, a bot somehow got the kill after he sunk

Yes, its very annoying that bots can make kills at all.

It worse when the bot literally Teamkilled you…

its an intentional feature implemented to make sure the gamemode isn’t too much fun, because why implement a system where someone that took 90% crew of an enemy ship and took out both front barbettes twice actually gets the kill and not a random bot that tapped it twice with he just before he explodes /s

like, there is some sort of damage point counter in game already, that no one knows how it works, why not code it so the player/bot or whatever that dealt the most damage points to critical components like crew, ammo, guns, engine compartment combined gets awarded the kill, others get assists with rewards according to how much they did (as is already)

Indeed they are killing everything, but are dumber than ever when sailing. I cant understand why Gaijin after all these years still cant make them avoid collisions in any reasonable time. Sometimes it seems they rush directly at you and ram you on purpose. “Leviathans” is a big disappointment. Just two weeks after and when Im in the queues I feel there is even less people playing naval RB than before the update.

They really should employ the “Severe Damage” mechanic in naval, where it is needed, instead of in air battles, where it was not . . .
imho

They also still have laser precision- more than any player. Keeps hitting you with not just the main guns, but also secondaries and even HE-VT from anti-air guns.

Bots also have a tendency to gang-bang players; 4-7 of them shooting at the same player.

They took a step in the right direction by having the bots not be useless anymore; but maybe they need to tune them down juuust a little bit. Plus not allowing them to be credited for kills. specially not on targets heavily damaged by players.

Yeah, it’s on purpose - Gaijin does this to make the grind worse.
Like… have you ever noticed why it always happens when an enemy ships is below 10%?
It’s to make sure you won’t be getting the kill points, because the assist mechanism in naval is very bad, because it’s highly limited.

Had yesterday an round with the Bismarck, according to the Game an Bot T-22 killed an USS Texas at 18km one shot in the Ammo, issue, the rounds which connected were my rounds, you could even see that the Rounds hit perfectly on the Ammo Bunker but this stupid bot got the kill for it while I got the Hit cam for it

“not a bug”. I kid you not its literally in the bug reporting system commented by a bug reporting manager within 4 hours with the meaningful message “not a bug”. You don’t say? obviously it’s not a bug, it’s apparently working as intended. And what the snails intention with this mechanic is, no one knows. Its literally working so wonderfully perfect that you can completely disable an enemy, put him at 4% buoyancy with 2 barbettes on fire and around 10% crew, and a random he shell of a bot gets awarded the kill.

But because that’s how they apparently want this mechanic to work, well good luck in getting them to acknowledge main problem nr 78something of this patch. You’ll literally have to carry it into their office and slap it on their desk instead of a statement like “we know it’s a problem and shouldnt work that way, we are working on it and fixing it when we get to it.”

Now, I’m not sure how stuff like that is supposed to bring players into naval, together with the absolute mess and how “balanced and fair” top tier naval is atm, i can’t really be bothered anymore to put any time into that shipshow

If they don’t do something about this, I will consider it a purposeful strategy to nerf rewards by denying player kills.

EDIT: “Not a bug?” Fine, let’s work around this.

To be fair it doesn’t feel like a “bug” per se, more like a limitation to the mechanic that attributes the kills. It feels like it’s somehow coded that below a certain hitpoint (or damage) level the kill of the destruction of the ship is accounted to the last enemy (bot or player) that dealt damage to it.

But no mattter if that can be called a bug or whatever, i dont see a reason why they should dismiss several reports of this happening on their official bug reporting system if clearly this mechanic isn’t working as it should at the moment. And a response in the form of “it is not working as intended and we’re keeping track of whats going on” would go a long way in assuring all the players which to a large degree are also their customers that they don’t just turn a blind eye and are waiting for more people to put in even more time to report the problem and to somehow force them to acknowledge it. Like, is this game not the way they are earning their money?

Exactly. The player credit kill system was reported long ago, again deemed to be “working as intended”. This is outrageous.

Even if you deal 90% crew damage and detonate all magazines, leading to the ship sinking… if someone, even a stupid escort T22 lands a hit, you don’t get credit for the kill and, sometimes, not even the assist at all.

It is absurd.

working as intended gets a new meaning with every day of playing war thunder its actually confusing

I have made a post about this;

That’s actually a bug and it’s reported and accepted

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/gta6eaQd6hxl

The range and accuracy has been reported and accepted indeed;

But the fact that a single harmless hit will give a ship (AI or not) credit for a kill when it’s been someone else who dealt the majority of the damage still remains considered “not a bug”.

Gaijin claims that “this is not a problem, because most Naval rewards are attributed to damage and not kill credits”; however, this clip shows why it IS still a problem; the explosion that led to the destruction of the ship, and therefore all of the damage, was attributed to some AI escort T22 instead of the player; so all of the damage-reliant rewards were stolen too.
