Bombers aren't doing well, what should gaijin do about it?

the gunners were once too powerful and were nerfed to the ground (ie. current state).

IMO they cant be balanced for current format of air rb.

Put them too low and they cant be intercepted before deciding the game by themselves. Improve gunners on top of that and even those few planes that intercept them get shot down.

At the same time they are mostly useless in the curret meta. Those few times I played greif recently were terrible.

Maybe dropping the BRs while at the same time giving select bomber interceptors (those without ground strike capability) air spawn?

The gunners shoot at 0.2km right now MAX, most RB players start shooting at 0.6km-0.8km. Putting the maximum gunner range at 0.65km or 0.7km would be perfect.

giving them an 6000 meter air spawn. Encourage planes to flight up high too.No one climbs in Air RB anymore.

Nothing. Like they always do.

Twin engine, interceptors, air defence fighters all ready get air spawn

They do? Been a while since i played props in air rb.

There is also a fw190 that gets an air spawn , if gaijin gave more rewards for strike aircraft on ground targets bombers would not have their lunch taken away from under there noses

I think the main issue is less the vehicles themselves and the fact the mode has aged like milk in an oven.

One of the reasons I stopped playing air rb is because of how corridor like it feels to play it nowadays, no strategy what so ever, climb at about 45° to one side of the airfield, meet perpendicular to the enemy and slowly spiral down in props or clump up low in top jets.

Bombers have been less of a good choice for a few years now, at most BRs

Not put bombers and strike aircraft on the same team

Make bombers fun. So having a full squad or more players able to operate the guns or just control the plane and swap positions etc would be pretty cool.

the problem with strike aircraft stealing base could be reduce by increasing their multiplier when they destroy ground target, win/win for striker and bomber players imo.

I dont understand why ground target rewards are so low considering most map objectives

The root of the problem I see is that each objective can end the round on its own. PvP alone should not auto-end rounds. CAS alone should not auto-end rounds. Bombing alone should not auto-end rounds. I have nothing against fighter mains having their fun dogfights - in fact I enjoy dogfights as well sometimes. But fighters having their fun should not automatically prevent nonfighters from having theirs.

In prior years, whenever bombers or attackers became strong enough to be somewhat relevant, fighter mains progressively screamed them into oblivion, as did tank mains complaining about being bombed/rocketed/shot by large caliber cannon fire. Any attempt to rebuff CAS or Bombers would disrupt the sense of “fighters are all that matter” held by a significant portion of the mode’s playerbase, and anything disrupting this “normal” would then provoke a nasty backlash that would only lead us back to where we are now.

Since we cannot agree on which objective should be “most important” - we take away that right from all of them to force them to work together.

Personally, I would see all the auto-win ticket bleeds removed entirely, and setting ticket values on planes, ground units, and bombing targets such that each category is worth no more than 50% of the ticket bar. Paired with increasing the match timer back to 60 min and increasing the ticket value of the late-game supply line units spawning in to 50% of the ticket bar as a failsafe to deal with spaceclimbers or runway campers.

Only then would there be any “room” to make bombers useful without automatically provoking fighter mains’ ire.
