Edit: Ontop of that, you need iirc 4 500kg bombs to take down a base, the J7D don’t even got enough bomb load to take out 1 base with 2 500kg and 2 250kg

No, bomb load should NOT be restricted to base.

Why?

  1. Weapon loadouts are the same across ARB, AAB and ASB. In ASB, having bombload greater than one base manfiests as a legitimate need for multiple purposes:
    1. You’re in a slow bomber. You spend 10 minutes reaching the bases so you drop to destroy 1 base. You loiter 5 minutes, get the UA cycle pop-up and drop bombs to destroy a second base then fly back to base.
      If you dropped and immediately flew back, it’s possible to get a UA cycle where you earned zero score (15 minutes of flying without a chance to drop a bomb that line up with a UA cycle) leading to no rewards at all.
    2. You destroyed a base but there’s a push/groundbattle/arrow. You drop your bombs on a base then divert to the frontline to blow up some tanks/SPAA before returning to base, significantly increasing your contribution to your team in pursuit of victory.
  2. Battle ratings scale base hit points and you cannot reliably confirm battle ratings in RB. What might be enough for 1 base and extra in a downtier might be insufficient in an uptier.

It’s not a issue because teams are randomized with no nations based.

in theory that would mean two of the teams get equally affected by “bad players” on a statistical basis.

Compare this to ground battles or tier 5 (and below) where we can see clear differences in national WR.

Besides, I’m afraid lots of people complaining about “bad players” doesn’t have best intentions. Some of them call more skilled players tryhards and stuff, while in the same time dunking on “inferiors”. It’s just hatred that’s disguised as concern for the health of the game

I shall ask then, why do you bring a bomb load in a jet that don’t have enough to take down 1 base, taking up the pylons that could been used for Air to Air Missiles?

For me the grinding rewards is good enough. It’s like solid 5k RP (somewhere around this) if I successfully unleashed the bombs. It can’t destroy a base (I WISH it did, that’s why I kept posting about 250-2 fire bombs), but it isn’t a issue with how many tornado users there are, they can spare 1/2 bombs to finish it.

And I don’t really like the J-7D playstyle, of IR only missiles. In my experience, I would prefer the kit of F-4EJ (which is infamous for being"bad") over it. I was able to unlock many planes simply by bombing in the J-7D. It’s low BR allows downtier to A-10s and other slow planes.

Just use the A5C instead, you get 4 napalm bombs that should be enough for 2 bases, the J7D is a fighter and operate best hunting down other jets

Bringing more bombs than a base isn’t reliable, hence most bomber players don’t do it. Assuming I only get a base, the rewards are not as good.

Besides, it’s way slower. I’ll have to admit that it’s on my part for being out-speed by a Q-5.

Because he’s got a point: It’s not your base.

And if they choose to fly an aircraft that can kill more than one base, well, good, they’re just doing their job.

I also don’t go complain about attackers that can carry several AAM’s that they should stop so because they’re “stealing my air kills”, no?

There are targets. There are players. And those players can kill those targets if they are a) capable to do so and b) are able to do so. That’s it.

We all know your point.

You want to change the game in a way players getting more rewards for a playstyle contraproductive to the goal of the battle.
The current reward system is contraproductive anyway.

ARB is a PVP mode with an PVE part in it to give bombers at least a sense.
