Kinda funny OP is wondering what a Puma can do against a BMPT like the 2A42 30mm APDS is so much better into the front of a Puma. They can only really knock out each other by shooting into the turrets.
Or the BMPT can knock out the Pumas engine and… reverse away?
Soviet technology is inferior to western’s, Soviet’s is superior to western technology. Just pick a struggle, honestly do whatever you want but atleast share your thoughts with a bit of basis, BMP-T and BMPT-72 definitely will still play the same at battle rating 10.7 and will fit a nice line-up for T-80B.
BMP-1 at battle rating 8.7 and BMP-2 at battle rating 10.3 is surely unexpected, so every other in-par vehicle should be at higher battle rating as well? It may be very fun to play Marder A1- at battle rating 8.7, perhaps, with inferior armor to Marder 1A3. Either you are sharing this with the intetions you just described or are trying to take out a good ragebait out of this subject.
I would actually like the TT one (or both, but that could be an issue having taken money for pre-orders) buffed up to 11.7 to go with the T-80U/ T-72B3, the 10.3 line up is bloated as it is and the BMPTs give it more tanks than crew slots and that’s without taking any planes/helis. But it defiantly needs improvements to justify going that high.
They’re good vehicles, except for the BMP1, I played very little with it. Despite the good lineups in 9.0 to 10.7, the Soviet teams, especially in 10.3, are dead brains.
I just wanted them to get APFSDS and update it to 11.0 so I could use it with my T80U, T80UK, and T90A. It’s good with APDS at 10.3, but I wanted that for both.
The Bushmaster is simply terrible. Did you know that the Bushmaster can’t even penetrate the Terminator’s side? What’s the point of a gun that can’t penetrate a Soviet tank at all? But the Terminator will destroy a Bradley with a short burst, even with just two or three bullets.
Yeah, it’s in a weird spot right now, with a hull that is far better then it’s weapons. The gun and ATGMs are around 9.7 level and the hull is 12.0.
Buffing it’s weapons to be more inline with the hull and moving it up would be the most logical solution.
Adding APFSDS, Kornets and apparently it should have the ability to fire both barrels in short 5 or 6 sec bursts and moving it up would be appropriate IMO.

On the BMPT hull have the classic weak
spot, and since the damage model is incorrect, literally anyone can easily explode the ammunition inside without direct ammo hit. And if the turret is hit anywhere with HE, the whole thing exploding too.
