Soviets have it1 which is invulnerable to atgm explosion. And there are vehicles outside of td class like namers, puma, lynx, vilkas which also have atgms that dont explode entire tank.
This is because it hasn’t been revisited since it was implemented as part of the first tranche of ATGM equipt vehicles.
And it is apparent that its for those that have an unmanned turret.
The M3 and M3A3 do, its a weird group of vehicles that do, the criteria is probably something to do with Unmanned turrets and / or NLOS capabilities , which the SPIKE currently lack (may be receiving MITL in the next patch).
This most likely, given bmpt also has sort of unmanned combat module (but belts make its safety bit questionable) and its atgms used to just burn similar to spike carriers.
Its a chain reaction
“Ragebait or low IQ, call it”
I mean, I’d say you might be 50/50? I wouldn’t be quite so hard on yourself, dear chap.
Anyway, because I feel some sympathy for you - I don’t know what the schooling is like where you are after all - here’s some light reading for you.

Explosion Dynamics 101. Enjoy.
TT explodes too.

Deserved.
This video proves absolutely nothing. The 1st clip just shows a sizable explosion and nothing catastrophic, the 2nd clip is questionable at best.
Using videos of war footage is not always reliable unless it’s extremely clear what’s happening.
30mms in a belt don’t chain react like that. The explosion is usually very self-contained, especially if it’s a single strip of ammunition versus 30mm that’s bunched up together
They do in game for every other autocannon that has ammo in the fighting compartment.
What I’ve seen is you either get spammed with a ton of atgms cause of this or you remain hull down in all the maps and spray. BMPT is brainless to use, can’t hold W on uptier but you can get every single barrel with low stress hold F with an ammo box and keep spraying.
Lastly, you have a gooner skin so the respect is as low as it can get
You really love me that much don’t you, even if it means babbling random stuff, as long as you get to talk to me, it makes you feel accomplished. Cute.
It might be a lower chance but its still possible, at the very least it can start a fire that would detonate more ammo
I heard folk doing HE to kill BMPT. However, when i use chally2 HESH it doesn’t over-pressure :(
or God forbid… a T-58

so its differ between 155 HESH and 125 HESH?
I don’t know a whole lot of explosive logic, and I don’t think that in War Thunder that’s exactly realistic, but I still try to understand if the belt of (for example 140g of propellant charge in the 3UBR8, APDS-T) ammo is enough to create a chain reaction strong enough to disable the vehicle, as destroying the vehicle is pretty unrealistic. This question alone not only would open question about if this is realistic in the Terminators but also in most of other vehicles with similar design. Personally I think is a in-game decision given that the BMPT on release was ‘missing’ this weakness that other vehicles alike has.
Keep in mind that its in an enclosed chamber, that makes a pretty massive difference, even for a small amount of explosives
Oh no,i bought another premium into lineup with premium s and talismaned Type 90s to make even more RP and SL… lol
