So the ammo belt killing the crew is realistic but the missiles no, thats my state on it as a bmpt player, and i would like gaijin to implement AMMO BELT Cook off and not the missile being hit by a pebble and nuking the whole tank.
Both should completely destroy BMPT. Ammo cook off should kill it through destroying the crew. Missile cook off should trigger the ammo cook off, since the last one is unprotected
THE missile explosion CANNOT OVERPRESSURE the bmpt, HOW MANY TIMES AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY IT?
It will cook of it’s ammo in 100% of cases, because not a single bright head was responsible for it’s construction

I am stating that the ammo killing the whole crew isn’t realistic and will never happen irl, while you are out here telling me its cooking off, yeah i know it cooks off but since when does it kill the crew.
Ammo cooking off kills the crew.
Missiles being hit cook off the ammo.
What’s so damn hard to understand? Can’t think past 1 fold?
If anything i support the ammo belt being able to explode reliably now, due to it being INSIDE of the bmpt, not on the outside. The missiles should be able to cook off but not kill the whole crew, thats what i want.

No, one of the Freccias had a similar change a while back with some of it’s ammo belts being separated as to not instantly ignite everything.
As for every other vehicle in-game, their 30mms belts (that are detailed and modeled) are usually clustured together. The BMPTS leading up to the gun splits into a single mount, granted why they’re separated.
Regardless of the fact, those ATGMs wouldn’t instantly kill the crew on exploding, this only happens with light vehicles anyways. Shouldn’t need AI to state the obvious.

The Freccia OWS 30 has the same type of ammo belt separation the Puma and Namer do where 30 or so rounds are clustered together, because the damage model changes based on how many rounds you have fired. So instead of each round vanishing on its own like MBT darts do the game gets rid of these chunks.
That however has nothing to do with the separation of ammo belts on the BMPT. If you want an example how that should look then gaze upon the TT Freccia.
