This is the fastest and largest increase in BR steps that i’ve personally seen for any vehicle. They also did it ahead of the normal planned BR changes which gives them time to gain data from this change before the planned changes, so there will likely be another opportunity for the BR to change yet again if it’s needed by that point.
It’s not like this change in any way hinders any additional future changes.
Before this I think the fastest were EBR, and Puma; which were at least slightly slower to increase.
BMPT went up by 1.0 BRs in 3 business days + one of the holiday break days. Even if you count out of office days, it’s pretty fast.
Vehicles will come in OP sometimes, especially ones that are first of their kind.
It sucks that it happened, it sucks it was BMPT being a first of its kind and causing this headache.
However, at least for now, it’s M4 Jumbo or IS-4M status in theory.
So what happens when people still keep complaining ? 11.3 isn’t really high enough even 12.7 was swarming with them over the weekend 5 in spawn 4 minutes in to the game at 12.7 and they wouldn’t die
Got it last night, played 14 gamed and ended up with 73 kills to 12 deaths (6.08 kdr) Whatever gaijin was smoking to keep it so low is insane
Glad it has gone up though, might actually be able to enjoy 10.7 sweden again
Yeah but Gaijin won’t nerf BMPT’s high RoF, just like how they gave it external belts. So give the puma the same high RoF. It already has less armor, less crew, worse missiles. It will help it stay competitive at a higher br than the BMPT.
Are you sure?
4 player maximum BR. 11.7 exists but is rare only having USA and Japan for decently “lineups” [generous I know] which means 11.7 gets downtiered rather often due to the popularity of 12.0 - 12.7 [and rarity of 13.0]. So 10.7 has at least slight advantage into getting down-tiered from that fact alone.
Now to account for the popularity of 11.3, which is what really matters here.
12.3 is unpopular, but 12.0 is popular.
11.3… exists, but for now has popularity.
11.0 is extremely popular.
10.7 exists… mostly in USSR, Germany, and USA.
10.3 and 10.0 exist far more often making them more popular.
9.7 exists, but is surprisingly popular despite its lack of lineups.
9.3 is the most popular BR of the game making 10.3s common downtiers in that alone.
That leaves 10.7.
For 10.7 to see 11.3 it needs to be a 10.3 match minimum which won’t happen as commonplace.
9.3 and 11.3 are far too popular.
So that means 10.7 is far more likely to get 11.7 matches than 11.3 matches.
However, that requires 11.7 to be less popular than 10.7, and 10.7 to be more popular than 9.7 [and to some extent 10.0], oh and 12.0 has to not suck 11.7 into itself as well.
So 10.7 is far more difficult to predict BRs based on that knowledge.
Welcome to the 4 player top BR restriction and how it causes uptiers to be predictable.
However, if you have a 10.3 lineup, you’re likely rarely going to see BMPTs in the average, unless for some reason 9.3 fell off a cliff despite having the most lineups in the game…
Edit: There are some other factors I’m probably forgetting that also impact uptier likelihood, but someone will point them out if they know.
