Yeah, shredded the ammo on a BMPT with the ajax the other day, looked like a big explosion, it just turned around and fired back at me. clearly I had only taken out one of the belts, but it had done next to no damage bar blocking that one gun.

Say that to the premium pack m60 aos that actually used m900a1 during its service but didnt get it in the game.
I find it hilarious compared to the Abrams blowout pallal response, really highlights the selective realism they love oh so much.
Leave it as it is and let them add the T-15 or Kurganets-25 as a higher Br alternative with more potent ammo choices.
Smaller darts will have less spall than APDS rounds. Which you’re trading for slightly more pen–I honestly don’t see the point. Since the slight increase in penetration won’t mean much in practice unless you’re going for pin-point accuracy
They could do that and add its turret basket, seems like an egregious oversight on their end given that they modeled the plates between turret drive and turret floor as armor rather than as part of the turret drive.

There is an apfsds round for the gun but the bmpt has never been seen using it

NGL it would be really funny if we somehow got the BMPT 62 and BMPT Strazh in the same update.
Dont even understand why people want Strazh, like have fun being oneshotted to a single 35mm AP-I since it has no armour for the turret. That and the fact that there’s practically no data for FCS as far as I remember.
If you want smth like BMPT your best close blood relatives would be Object 781’s and Object 787.
Object 781’s would be nice since we could get BMP-3 weaponry version with armour that’s noted to be better than T-72B’s. (not for turret that’s for sure but dtill way better than Strazh)
I just think it’s cool

what i want is the actual real bmpt in service to come.
It’s already in the game.
The current BMPT in tech tree is in service of Kazahstan.
Whereas the one you mean is in service of Russia/Algeria.
Thw difference is just cosmetical.
