Drones are the greatest weapon of the 21st century, excluding nuclear ones as well, everything had to adapt against them and even then it didn’t work, they continue to be highly effective.
Even the old Gepards have become useful again.
drone = less tanks = rare tanks in the front = bmpt has to adapt.

It honestly should be. The TD role doesnt make any sense for a modern vehicle and especially not if conceptually similar vehicles like the QN506 or vehicles that are objectively better equipped to destroy tanks are classified as light tanks.
That role sounds more like “assist the tanks as a specialized anti infantry in urban areas” vehicle and not “tank hunter”
Especially since a tank hunter already exists with the Krizantema and Shturm missile vehicles that carry more missiles and can go places a heavier tank would struggle with

What if Gajin gave the BMPT & BMPT-72 the 3UBR11 APFSDS 30mm dart round for the BMPTs as the APDS round in top tier after the BMPTs were moved up to 11.7 after they used to be at 10.3 where the dual 2A42/2A72 cannons with APDS shells used to dominated compared to now at 11.7 where they struggle to penetrate even the side hull of the M1A1. Now it may or may not become OP or not depending on how Gajin sets the penetrating power of the IRL 3UBR11, but it would be nice to see in the game as Russia do uses them in the IRL BMPTs. 🤷♂️

When the armor of this garbage becomes realistic, we can talk about it. Now it just eats 60-70% of shells without any real damage, while other AFVs pretty much die from a cough.

iirc, the BMPT doesnt have APFSDS IRL.
But then it can go up to 12.7 if it did

BMPT has never been specified with APFSDS. Only AP and APDS.
Even the use of 3UBR8 APDS in service is rare, 3UBR6 is the most common old- and 3UBR10 is its intended service-round (also AP-T but newer version that entered full-scale production in 2024)
