Bm oplot armour is massively incorrect

Then maybe they shouldn’t label the game as the most realistic simulation tank game then and pride themselves in “accurate penetration” gaijin add realistic things whenever it suits them not us

That’s just marketing nonsense. They have tons of reports lying around that they’ve been ignoring for years, while at the same time they introduce new wunderwaffe that ignore the laws of physics and common sense.

No, they’ve always been more or less like that.

Snail has a habit of ignoring bugs in Japanese vehicles
Both CTWVs since release have a bug that even if you don’t have any ammo, your magazine is 100% full and your ammo can still explode

This also wouldn’t be as bad for the ICV if the unmanned turret actually behaved like one rather than just killing the crew

The way Gaijin is treating Japanese players and players who play on the Japanese tech tree is utterly disgusting. The F-5 FCU’s ballistic computer has been malfunctioning for almost a year.

Good luck with that never had one actually respond. Last thing that happened was i msged one and after 4 months they just close the DM with never replying… “msg a tech mod” is like saying just forget it

Did you do it in the way i indicated above or just one of them and then not add others?

You might have sent a message to one of the seniors.

this is simply not true

If duplet needs to be changed to have 400mm protection, relikt needs change too

Relikt currently does not have correct protection levels in game too, similar to the duplet ERA in game. We should have 400mm of protection of the side relikt armor and 500mm in the front

No as i never got shown that list. I just got told “Ask a tech mod” and that was basically it

That list is pinned at the top of the “official news” section of the forum :)

so… its accurate to ingame model then?
It sure does stop 3BM42, and then 3bm60 has like 200mm more pen so it does not stop it?

we should combine all this data btw

3BM42 in game penetrates beyond the 60mm on the normal it penetrated in the test footage.

See how it penetrates the first armour plate and stops either in the composite cellular armour or on the plate in the middle of the composite?

In reality this is how it should be, it should not even touch the composites inside.

I refer you to the calculations made according to testing data

Ohhhhhh okii… Thats my bad then. sorry for being mean

that depends on how the shot was made. It looks to me that the shot was made much more to the “skit” side of the turrer, somwhere here

And it had some effect also on “angling” the sabot. Or maybe the shot was made with that angle from the start. That is said its “on normal” to the era boxes tho.
Plus the ingame penetration is not accurate to real one. We have simplified model, we dont have realistic penetration numbers. The shot does not turn inside armor when penetrating - it turns after penetration.

I see no problem with it considering that facts.
Also, im now curious but cant try myself. May you try shooting a bit to the left? as i show on the pic. Tho the Shtora would also have some effect, but that shot you show is a bit innacurate anyway

The result would be the same, it hits two ERA tiles, plus their covers and dampeners, and then impacts the angled plate behind the ERA module.

This is exactly the same as the module they used in the testing, the angle of fire is also the same as the testing.

Correct, we don’t have a realistic model in game. So the decreased penetration (about 80% of BM42) is what should be reflected in game to most closely match the result of the test footage. Each tile should stop about 200mm of kinetic penetration instead of 140mm.

only reason 3bm42 performs well against duplet era because its a two piece

core ammunition
french ofl 120 f1 also got tested against duplet ERA where only 20mm of armour was penetrated
