All I said was that test flights are not the same as PvP matches.
And extrapolating data, blabla, it still spares you the need to split your focus, enemies hold still for you, don’t shoot back.
Guess what? In a test flight any bomber can shoot down all ai targets with ease and drop its entire bomb load on target.
Now, what does that say about how bombers work in PvP battles?
You know you can use limited fuel in test flight too? The plane at 50% throttle still outperforms everything. Regarding guns - in Yak-3U I am currently firing 6-8 round bursts and scoring kills, as a single shell is oftentimes enough.
So I’m confident in BIs ability to kill multiple planes no issue.
from playing it in both air RB and ground RB i ask one question: what does it do against an enemy going and staying at speed of 800+ km/h? and there are more than enough jets at 7,3/7,7 that can already go that fast. the BI has basicaly the same problem as the maus: hard to balance. Put it lower than 6,7 (which would be wrong) and it can dominate. but put it higher it has to run down jets it never can catch and just bleed its low fuel and low ammo amount. reading “warning wingrip speed” while the jet in front runs from 900m to 1,5km distance is just no fun
To add on to Loofah’s point here, what’s the alternative for these jets? If they try to actually fight the BI, they just lose. The BI outperforms them, handily, in every single aspect other than top speed. If they try to do literally anything else other than running away and resetting the fight, the BI wins that fight every time.
If this is a consistent issue, just do what other slow planes do at their tiers, find people who have already cashed in their speed and jump them. Early jets are notoriously susceptible to this owing to their poor acceleration. Once they’re in a low energy state, they’re stuck there for minutes at a time. They have no recourse if a BI shows up anywhere near them during this period.
raising a planes BR cause it needs to relay on the enemy making mistakes (becoming slow as jet) already is wild. Meteors can outrun it, f84 and f2h can outrun it, not sure about rus jets.
The thing is, it performs mid already at 6,7 depending on up or downtier. put at 7,3/7,7 means it will nearly exclusivly meet enemys it never can catch up to.
You mean… like the other slow jets? The Vampires and Yak-23 are similarly slow for their BRs, which they account for by jumping already slow aircraft and beating them with their agility/absurd energy retention. And they don’t have the BI’s nuclear fusion reactor of an engine to instantly propel themselves back up to top speed and zoom climb away if they get into a bad spot.
Also, it doesn’t take much of a mistake to run out of energy. If you want to actually commit to a fight, you’re going to be burning quite a bit of energy. Sabres, Meteors and other agile jets who want to actually make use of their advantages are going to be doing that constantly.
im probably a mid pilot especialy in ARB. all i say its really bad vs lot of 7,3/7,7 jets while it can stomp 5,7/6,0 props. thus i say in a hard spot for balance
since when an event vehicle… is pay to win? a mediocre at best airplane… that has limited fuel… one time i face that airplane on ground on my strike master … he try so hard to get his nose on my plane and if we had a few seconds more in the match… my 2 pea shooting guns had him very very easy.

as for the excuse of the XP-50 that got nerfed … aka no more air spawn… and as i have it i find that airplane some strange and some hard to use…
the Wyvern is a mediocre airplane at best cause has NO turn rate and the only thing it has is SPEED…

BI-1 only died because his, frankly, dumbass turned with you, BI-1 could have left at litearlly ANY moment by 100% and a zoomclimb, It does +400km/h at 45 degree angle after all.
BI-1 fuel doesn’t matter, it can cruise at +600km/h on 20% throttle while consumin 1 second of fuel every 25ish seconds, AT SEA LEVEL, where rocket planes perform worse due to drag.
But it’s comtemporaries? at 8.0 - 8.3 rottin in the Korea war. A BI-1 must know it can just shut down it’s motor on a dive and do the yak proccedure of levelin out every once in a while, preferably past 500km/h start to nose up.

XP-50 now is balanced btw, it can still be a fearsome opponent to a BF-109 F-4, people stopped playin it because they can’t abuse it anymore, the reason they have the XP-50 in the first place.
Wyvern ate a nerf recently now, but turnrate isn’t all, if it was, a 262 would be in 1.0 and the I-15 in 10000.7. Also, Really? the wyverns burns pretty easily? Yeah pal, every plane does, even those with EFS still tend to come down after a fire, IF they put it out before they die.
