I’m not complaining about using an Xbox controller, and I don’t think he understands his usage of “persecution”, but I’m saying there is a distinct advantage for pc users.
Hotas + Vr
The ability to zoom out and change the FOV. Which SIGNIFICANTLY increases awareness.
In ARB, the mouse aim is actually easier, and more accurate to use than a joystick on a controller, while M&K have the ability to map far more keys.
Controllers are the “jack of all trades” kind of deal.
All literally lied about owning the BI, which just makes their argument disingenuous.
The only ones whom seemingly own it are myself and TheMightySardine (which is chat banned ironically, along with another one who claimed he owned the BI).
Nah I didn’t at first. It’s 8 mins. Watched it. Your right about the camera control, they must’ve finally fixed it then, because 2 years ago it wasn’t a thing you could do on console.
Correction: it works EXTREMELY intermittently.
Edit 2: despite having the “keep value for disabled axis” enabled, it’s resetting to the default position 96% of the time
Secondly, do you have any evidence he’s actually on an xbox? Because last time I checked no vr worked for xbox, nor do most good Hotas systems, I think xbox has its own dedicated one, but it’s not great from what I recall someone saying.
I’m pretty sure they haven’t released a new flight stick for consoles since the thrust master hotas 4, I don’t know if you can use psvr2 with it at the same time because it’s like 700 dollars lmao, but the little nipple is really hard to use effectively and low visibility cockpits screw you as you can’t move your actual head, just where you look.
There’s definitely advantages but it’s not game over for consoles, I’ve never played sim before and I’m a good player in rb, but im struggling to stay even 1-2 at 5.3 re2005 (god I have come to appreciate bubble canopies wtf Italy)
Oooh it was top for one month, with a tiny amount of games played.
A whole “5208”… surely, it’s OP right? Surely it’s not really good players who own it playing it, couldn’t be.
Btw this was previous months’ “best KDr” planes.
Which, makes me think Russian pilots are just better than their counterparts. With even lower games lol
Sim is a different beast. It’s my preferred game mode for sure, especially past 10.0, rewards are better, longer games, xyz.
And at least you get vr on ps. They were making an Xbox one, but they canned it for some reason, granted you can “stream” to a meta quest, but the latency would be so bad it’s not worth it.
I’ve heard there’s an eye tracker you can get, but it’s like $500, so unless I know for sure it works, I’ll pass.
jets are a ton easier to actually fly but I just don’t have enough buttons for some jets, properly setting trim constantly is so annoying for props but it’s definitely better than stuff where you just gotta hold the stick the entire time. honestly the p61 is pretty fun to use on console since you don’t need to really move your head a lot, just use radar to hunt bombers, pretty fun realistic gameplay
Do you need to own it to understand a vehicle’s strengths and / or flaws?
I bet most people don’t have the Ariete AMV and I think we can all agree that it is overtiered just based on its qualities.
Does personal experience help forumlate a good opinion on said vehicle? Of course.
Does it mean that other people who haven’t played said vehicle can’t have an opinion on them? Of course not.
I’d expect, at the very least, for someone to look at a vehicles pros and cons, along with (perhaps) judging vehicles based on previous experience fighting against it. Then there could be a valid foundation for an opinion.
From the people that you have mentioned, I think all of them had valid takes on the vehicle.
And to be quite frank, I assumed you meant own it or have experience in battle with a BI in the match.
I would’ve put ‘no’ otherwise.
Setup your SAS. I didn’t even know that was a thing till I was at the MiG-29, and someone else told me about it, made life VASTLY, AND I MEAN VASTLY better.
Well of course seeing a vehicles strengths and weaknesses doesn’t require owning the vehicle, but the experience of fighting it vs flying it are two entirely different worlds apart.
The Russian P-39Q-15 is the best P-39, and is an offsale premium at 3.3, with better armament and superior flight model. Of course it’s going to perform better than other P-39s at 3.3.
Why are you thinking Russian pilots are the reason for that?
Same for the LaGG-3-4, a premium gift vehicle that only a certain few have.
The BI is also quite rare, but not nearly as rare as those two.
Direct evidence beyond the console icon in his name (RokstarxTTV) is a no (unless you count long discord logs of him complaining that he can’t use the market), but he does stream of twitch and you can see his controller+pedals setup. Other xbox players I had people cited were “Nightstalker” and “Its-butters”.
Nimbal was brought up but he’s PS and 352 as another PS group.
Yes, I do agree with that.
Though I’m pretty sure you can figure out whether or not a vehicle is good based on how difficult it is to fight against it – especially with competent players using them.
Just like how I know the T58 is good based on its pros and cons, my friends (some of whom have it) talking about it, and having to face it in Squadron Battles / GRB.
Well here’s the thing, you can transfer your account, and I’m 99% sure even on PC, it still says your an Xbox account.
2 of my buddies, one on Psn, one on Xbox, transferred, but despite playing on PC, it says they are still their og consoles.
I’m not sure how the whole market works after you’ve transferred though
The thing about the T58 as an example though, is that it has the most pros over all its peers, and one of the fastest reload rates, for the con of mobility.
The BI has the pro of mobility, but the con of ammo capacity.
Like I said, it could be 7.0, or 7.3 (7.3 if it had 1.8x the ammo, 7.0 if it has 140 rnds).
But its biggest pro is thrust, and size.
It’s turns worse than most props you’ll see, it compresses and cannot catch most jets, bar the P-59A, and Fr-1, and only has 90rnds.
So comparing pros between both these good vehicles, the T58 checks pretty much every box, the BI checks somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4
The T58 doesn’t have a stabilizer where most 8.7s do.
That unchecks a box.
The T58 doesn’t have that good mobility, so that unchecks another box…
The T58 only has a 6 round first stage where most tanks have far more.
There goes another unchecked box.
I mean there’s so many ways to go through it, but I know the T58 is really good at 8.7 in spite of those drawbacks.
The BI has the best climb rate and energy retention out of ALL planes at its BR (and even BRs higher than it)
It’s extremely small and hard to hit.
The problem is the compression and relatively slow speeds and ammo count… but just like the T58’s drawbacks, you can work around it.
BI is uncontested at 6.7 when it comes to dogfighting, and even if it gets ganked by two or more planes, it can escape without really any issues. It effectively prohibits the enemy team from dogfighting otherwise they’d be within the BI’s domain.
T58 is relatively uncontested at 8.7, being really difficult to deal with in a 1v1, and even if it gets ganked by two or more tanks, it can kill both of them due to how fast it reloads, how easily it can one-shot, and its good armour / turret traverse speed. It effectively prohibits the enemy team from pushing certain chokeholds or corners.
Do you see the resemblance?
Not to mention the fact that the T58 already moved up from 8.3 to 8.7, and I’d still encourage Gaijin to move the T58 to 9.0…
all while the BI still sits at 6.7 willy-nilly while eating 5.7s like P-47Ms and 6.0s like Hornets for breakfast.
Even Spitfire LF Mk.IXs and Yak-3Us can struggle with it.
T58’s mobility isn’t that bad tbh.
First stage with an expert crew and 1 shell in the gun reloads quite quickly.
The BI also can’t be touched by anything, you either instantly catch fire, or immediately explode, so its size does have a con.
I don’t think they’re directly comparable, because if the T58 was a plane, it would still check far more boxes.
Yes you can play around weaknesses, and generally I can, but limited ammo, that doesn’t reload unless your at an AF, and ammo belts that do questionable damage? Yeah. Not great.
I purchased the BF-109 G-6 in Sweden since I “don’t play air enough” and I enjoy the Mk108 30mm far more than the shvak. I hit a plane with the 108 and it’s dead immediately.
It has 1 30mm and less ammo overall, and worse ballistics, but hits VASTLY harder, and I do way better with it. (Granted I was playing at br 6.7 with it, don’t ask why).
And yes I was OBLITERATING jets with it.
Vs the BI on shvak is like “hit” “hit” “hit” “hit”
Don’t tell me…
you took to tank battles where planes are almost unaware of enemy aircraft?
Keep trying to bring tank battles scenarios to air battles again?
