sure bud.
the only sigular 109 that still good is the 109G-2 rest are just mediocre
i take 190s over the 109s just cause how bad the guns are you need 6
german ww2 stuff just gets power crept to death
I took out my 109 G6 earlier, the Mine rounds are imploding people’s balls again so that was fixed.
But this “now” already exist for few years already…
The Bf109s are pretty good planes.
The only drawback is the instructor mode in air realistic significantly hampers their maximum performance. Air RB to air sim - it’s night and day.
The Bf109 F4 is indeed probably the best. Very nice turn rate, good engine power. I love them. They’re my most played aircraft in sim these days, surpassing even my F4U-4 or Mustang Mk Ia! I’m confident in saying that if I lose in the bf 109 f4, it’s because I messed up and have committed skill issues, not because the plane has let me down (except vs Ki-84/Spitfire Lf Mk IX that shouldn’t be 5.0 in sim).
I find myself struggling a little with gustavs as they’re neither as turny as a F4 nor as ridiculous in climb as a K4 AND they love to stall and spin quite readily.
The K4’s main drawbacks are being the same BR as F4U-4B and 6.0 being Ju-288 territory, making it only playable 2 days in a week due to Ju-288 ruining 6.0, 6.3 and 6.7 days.
I half wonder if this is due to ARB’s engagement ranges? In SB, I find the guns pretty effective. I’m also shooting from 200-300 meters and aiming for center mass or engine.
Have a recent gameplay outtake comparing the 109F4’s guns in Warthunder vs Il2:Great Battles
In Il2:GB - the spitfire died from pilot snipe but remained in one piece despite being shot at by a Bf109G6Late.
In Warthunder - the P-51 EXPLODED into flaming debris after being shot center mass.
…that you created a new thread, despite that we already have one:
No need for a 2nd thread…
In AB Bf 109’s are one of the best fighters out there.
The few times I tried flying them in RB, they were so bad I just returned to hangar
and never used them again.
Not sure about Sim, but it would seem that the mode you choose to play them in
has a LOT to do with how well they perform as the fm’s vary widely.
japan main discovers props that arent instant win turnfighters
this is just skill issue tbh
The increased control forces above 520 km/h likely make the Bf 109 harder to handle. Personally, I find the Bf 109 T-2, a great turning fighter, the strongest and easiest to fly among Bf 109s.
Me waiting for Gaijin to give German 20mm cannons realShatter so they perform more accurately [better].
When 151 was bad before buffing back, yes
Now? Depends whether we are comparing it to old 151 ballistics or not
yeah there still less consistant than the shvaks from what i can tell which annoying
lol, k4 is totally equal to lf mk9, you’re not coping dude not at all.
bf109f4 is good
F4 its good but rather weak and usually is stuck fighting 4.3s like YAK-3s
yak3 eats it’s lunch yes, but it’s probably the best dogfighting 109
japan mains when their props are insanely overtired because spitfires can’t beat a plane they can’t outturn (yet we’re the braindead ones?)
sounds like cope. jut fly in a straight line and these zeroes miss
not what cope means, anyway spitfire players are genuinely just poor players in an op plane very similar to yaks. Zeros having such a high br are because they lack the IQ points to run away and use energy, it’s been fun farming them in re2005
