As of January 2026, it might actually be Japan (my opinion). They get the type 10s which have extremely good firepower, great mobility, lws, great optics, adjustable suspension and blowout panels. only bad part is low ammo capacity and mid armor and even then its sometimes very trolly (shot several in the gun breach or ufp with M829A2 and it did nothing). For CAS, they got the Apache E, which is the best top helicopter in my opinion, and also the SU-30 with 6 KH-38MTEs. They also inevitably will receive the rafale via indonesia, which what i heard is the best top tier jet (air to air) and finally have a good SAM option. What do you guys think?
Id say France is also a strong contender. They already got the Rafale, Leclercs are decent enough especially if bolstered with one Leopard 2A6, SPAA seems okaish, they also get an AH64E. The only thing they’re really missing is a top tier light option but those are rare anyway
I think Japan is right to get the rafale and su30. It’s been neglected in top tier air for too long. And finally russia isn’t the only nation with kh38, more balance to the game. All other points you made make Japan an indeed good top tier contender.

Sweden is a good mention, their uparmored leos and gripen e cas is good now. Germany doesn’t have a good cas, only good leopards and SAM so I wouldn’t put it at 2. I would put Sweden, russia, japan, and another nation in top 4.

Top 5 for me has to be Japan, France, Sweden, US and Russia. At least when we take the full lineup into account (so ground, CAS, CAP and Helis).
However I’m not sure how I would fully rank them.
They recieved 3 aircraft that are more than capable to contend at top tier last update, they do not need a rafale or gripen E before someone mentions it

Well Gaijin already added the indonesian Hawk, so rafale is coming no matter what. Looks like they’re trying to fill in the Japanese tech tree to make sure there’s no gaps.
they are the same, 2 typhoon / gripen / tornado / harrier. plus uk is better since the addition of the f18
That is a fair ranking, although I think there is also a serious case for Sweden over Germany.
After some more thinking I will probably go:
- Japan
- France
- Sweden
- US
- Russia
The thing is that Japan/France and Sweden/US are almost coinflips at this point.

I forgot sweden received the NASAMS last update, i have the american version and as far as ive seen its pretty busted in the first games i played it. Sweden has no competitive helicopter but that is made up for by the gripen e
