Bell-Boeing MV-22B: Osprey's Got Teeth

Just going to leave these here found some pages on the cockpit for the MV-22 from an AGARD report.

Spoiler

A short but interesting read going through the cockpit layout and MFD displays. Also does include from planned improvements which mention a HMS/HMD system and integrated weapons controls for the nose turret gun.

If you want to check it out for yourself here it is:
AGARD Advisory Report 349: Flight Vehicle Integration Panel Working Group 21 on Glass Cockpit Operational Effectiveness (l’Efficacite operationnelle du poste de pilotage en verre)

PDF Pages 156 - 160 for the MV-22. There is a bunch of information about a bunch of other NATO aircraft too, those start from PDF pages 79.

It is fully declassified and approved for public release and distribution unlimited as stated on the front cover. Also stated that it is open access from the NATO Science & Technology Organization site which does itself have the document to download.

If their military used it and it doesn’t dilute either tree, then why not? eg Japan needed CAS, and they got it through Thai aircraft (AV-8S from Spain, F-5A from USA, F-84G from USA, etc.). Copy and Paste can be great for a tree while not taking away from the export nation. Its bad when abused and used to be lazy.

those are your tanks…
meanwhile, the US during the Cold War onward: no, it’s our tanks.

m41, m47, m48, m44, m113, m60, m42, m19…

This is an incredibly detailed and fair video around the V-22 Osprey and how currently it is ontrack as a new military product even with it’s crash history.

I don’t think it has a place in the current game, maybe in the future.

Dude screw you, just play nintendo if you want exclusivity that much.

1989? As long as this…contraption crashes & blows up in a frequently spectacular & satisfyingly entertaining way in the game, then yes please put it in and don’t skimp on the effects

No, since it should stop at the Hs 132, Ta 183, Me 263, Ju 287, He 343 or on the date of May 23, 1945

japan more than likely didnt even have the rocket pods equipped. Also unsure if the GAU-17 was even bought for Japanese Ospreys. so they would be unarmed and pointless

I really don’t care if they have weapons or not. it existing alone would be very funny and I want to see a video of someone stealing caps with osprey for the entire duration of the match.

ok then they can just use the US osprey?

I dont have US tree air that high to warrant such funny vehicle. hate their air tree anyway.

its going to be in heli tree probably. And you are basically saying that bc you just dont want to play US the Osprey should be given to Japan for no good reason

This will be relevant if Gaijin introduces infantry. Infantry landing, say, on a point. That would be really cool.

Huh? Who cares about exclusivity? I just want the individual nations to be unique.

rear .50 M2HB lol

Well, now, history would tend to disagree with you, and they give stuff to nations if they used them, so unique TT’s are kinda out the window. I see your point, but that’s just how it is, not much anyone can do to change it.

We can make change going forward.

History doesn’t work that way. All nations have used aircraft bought as exports from others or copied eachothers designs entirely.
