@halkad1
Thanks for proving there are consistent standards.
False equivalence fallacy: One is a light tank that is far larger, quite literally has no armor, no gun depression, no gun movement, worse reload, firing a worse round.
With only 1 round of the 57mm sabot can pen any tank if you know how to aim.
The begleit 57mm ap its very week and only useful for flanking. Plus the thermals are bad are like early thermals. And finally the atgm its not that good and you only get 1 shot and then reload (and pray your target doesnt have era cause the atgm is not tandem), while the 2s38 can spam sabot rounds and kill a mbt frontaly.
The Begleit has 0 armor, no crewless turret, no IRST, no thermals to speak of, APBC shell that’s not great at penning anything frontally. It’s 9.7 for a good reason. It’s fine where it is.
Yeah its fine where it is.
Also i wouldnt say 0 armour, surely the front engine helps a little, sure not a lot, but at least better than a… idk a btr or a bmp
Also the Begleit was moved to 9.7 since this thread was made and the 2S38 is 10.3 (it was never moved to 10.7), so they pretty much meet and fight each other in down/uptiers. It’s actually crazy that the only thing separating them is just 0.6 BR…
Too bad that you compare the Ariete to the 2S25M while you have to compare them to their equals.
In the light tank category the powerfull 3BM60 alone justifies BR10.7. It´s ridicoulus that the TAM2C is 0.3BR higher that the 2S25M while having a much weaker shell.
By the way the battle rating of the 2S25M was not increased while recieving the 3BM60 nor in a decompression where the TAM2C was moved 0.3Br higher.
But the 2S38 is the bigger stain on the carpet.
-wrong class → SPAAG
-wrong battle rating → BR 11.3
-wrong load mechanism - the 2S38 is single belt fed not double belt fed. Look at the model. Both bug reports about the wrong load mechanism and the model were shoved off. Logically at least one must be acknowledged.
-No overheating since over an year. The function is implemented, the marker is there, but Gajin deactivated overheating for the 2S38 for whatever reasons.
I never compared Sprut M to Ariete, the user I replied to was the one doing so.
2S38 being labeled a SPAA would be a buff.
2S38 being 11.3 would require Begleit being 10.7 and HSTVL 12.3. Not my opinion/take.
2S38’s loading mechanism is entirely correct for the game features at this time; War Thunder does not feature double feed loading in-game for any system.
No overheating only impacts SPAA duties, and would change nothing about its anti-tank role.
As for TAM 2C:
Round: Sprut M: 666 vs 494mm of angled armor.
Mobility: TAM 2C.
Gun mechanics [stabilizer, traverse, etc]: TAM 2C.
Optics: Tied.
Physical size: TAM 2C.
Resistance to low-caliber weapons: TAM 2C.
M1128 is also 10.3 with M900, but there’s more context to weapon systems than the penetration.
I will not bring Sprut M into an 11.0 match if my goal is to carry to victory, but I will bring Sprut M over 2S38 cause 2S38 is far worse.
Cool attempted defense of 2S38 on your part though.
That would help every other autocannon that shouldn’t overheat though, like PUMAs.
PUMA would benefit in the anti-air role without overheating as well.
However, in the anti-tank role where there are usually less shots needed to commit take downs of enemy forces… not as helpful.
Granted, there are many that believe more shots down range helps.
While I myself don’t ascribe to that belief, I understand their perspective and their desires.
I’m a frequent user of PUMAs peashooter and the situation of my gun overheating in crucial moments is pretty common. The amount of shots soviet ERA can just eat can’t be discribed in civil language. And with how unaccurate this gun is (for some reason) - trying to pixel snipe someone in the distance takes a lot of boolets as well.
is this for air rb or grb
This doesn’t explain anything.
No, I don’t
I’m literally just asking you for clarification, learn some respect.
btr 82 at is fine in 9.0 with 1200mm pen missile , therma, stabilized gun, apds, reacon drone in donwtier play vs ww2 tanks…
you are desсribing the m3 bradley bar the 1200mm pen
wt… have the m3 bradley?

sure looks like one to me
has the thermals, stabilized gun, apds and a recon drone
430 mm pen missile and have crew in turret + its slow and no spall liner
Still smashes 7.3 tanks when it sees em.
…its also 8.3
no spall liners in front
I really like how the PUMAs barrel in supporting structure with large cooling ribs overheats and start loosing accuracy after a few rounds.
Meanwhile Gaijins 2A42 with simple barrel 50% higher RPM can shoot indefinitely with minor accuracy loss.
True marvel od soviet engineering.

No dispersion at all …
Weakest russian Laser vs Strongest NATO 30mm
(We’ll never see good dispersion on a nato autocannon)
