Never said BegleitPanzer was not criminal or bad. It’s 9.7 right now and I have no data about it’s decency. I only die to it while doing CAS.
Meanwhile 2S38 is much more obvious cancer soviet mains deny and pretend to not see.

The bagliets more mobile, lower profile, better gun depression.
Has decent atgms and has a decent penning round for an autocannon, even if it is just AP.

The 2s38 while a strong light tank is not much better, they’re A symetrical of one another.
Plus the 2s38 has worse survivability after the plethora of nerfs its had since release.

The Bagliets easily could sit at 10.0 and be fine.

Before you say im a soviet main, i dont main any tree ive got every tree in game past at least rank 6 and 8 of the 10 at top tier.

The bagliets is a seriously potent vehicle.
Your replies to me remind me of when people wanted the Leopard 2k to move up in BR, you want your tank to stay at an easier / better BR and spite the rest.

ok youre smoking something if you think i-tows are decent. one, theyre normal heat warheads, the second you face against ERA theyre completely useless, which is common at 9.7 let alone higher, where everything the russians have is covered with the shit, and two, I-tows have a 50/50 chance of just failing to launch and just dirt themselves. theyre at best a third weapon system you COULD use, not something you can rely on.

also the bagel doesnt have survivability either, the crew is exposed in the turret and the thing is made from paper, atleast the 2s38 has a crewless turret and a russian fuel tank in the front for protection. also finally, the ap has good pen, but the lack of velocity means ANY fight at range you will lose, period. its the reason why the bagel is considered so broken, because theyre lunch meat at range and insanely dangerous at close range so people dont ever remember the fights against bagels at ranges, because they die instantly, but only remember the times when theyre wiping whole sections of the enemy team at close range.

Thank you, I might add. 2S38 and people who complain about similar vehicles got OTOMATIC to have 12 APFSDS with 30 round readyrack AT 11.3.
Just because I shoot down 90% of all enemy CAS munition and can fight tanks, doesn’t mean ALL players now must suffer on OTOMATIC, gaijin made OTOMATIC having 90 APFSDS shells at some point to justify 2S38s full rack and ability to switch between rounds in a single feed HE conveyor belt with somehow APFSDS shells.
Now after “overpowering” Italy gigachad femboys, we have to perform even better in a significantly objectively worse tank. Gaijin balanced everything by statistics.

I-TOWs are useful, just stop attacking targets head-on. Also what are you smoking to think the Bagel isn’t survivable?

Literally just shoot the turret and he needs to do repair-sim for 20s while being unable to shoot & aim either weapon.

Anything above 25mm APDS (and in some places also 20mm APDS) can easily UFP it.

Guess what, bagelpanzer turret is a smaller target than you. By the time you get your guns on target it’s too late.

OTOMATIC has had it’s APFSDS count capped because it features a secondary emergency loading system for sub-calibre ammunition (somewhat similar to how gepard has 20rd external belts for APDS on each gun).

The total capacity of this emergency loading-mechanism (and stowed APFSDS) is 12 (3+9) rounds.
This was a historical adjustment.

2S38 has way better Thermals and the same stab.

Bagel only has gen 1 therms AP and a ITOW.
2S38 is way better then it.

Compared to what? 2S38?
Realistically, the hull is a tad bit taller but the turret has far less places to shoot that will disable something important (e.g. vertical drive or FCS) - Begleit’s entire raised part will disable its ability to fight back and the lower-part on the gunner’s side can get it killed by spalling/direct-hitting the atgm-stowage.

If you take too long to get your guns on the enemy then you made a mistake by either letting it get an off-angle on you or not paying proper attention to your minimap, sorroundings, etc.

That has nothing to do with the vehicle. Any other tank would kill you in that situation/leave you with an even lower chance of survival. (unless its a 30mm slopmaster vehicle ofc, those throw rude gestures at best)

People also just completely ignore/leave out the part where 2S38 has far better utility, which is what actually makes it undertiered; (it really was never the Anti-Tank performance, that’s honestly just people coping because they died to it a bunch of times)

  • IRST (highest range ground IRST iirc) (Begleit does not have IRST)
  • Commander-Sight with thermals (gen 3 even) (Begleit does not have commander thermals)
  • Smokes (Begleit lacks any)
  • ESS (Begleit lacks it)
  • Elevation-Angles (+85° vs +45°)
  • Ready-Rack (148rds, overheating doesnt prevent firing vs 48 rds)
  • Traverse-speed (60°/s vs 55°/s, tbf not much but still better)

It’s still kinda weird how people look at two vastly different vehicles (both in terms of playstyle and capabilities) and try to argue them equal solely because they happen to both use 57 mm cannons that fire faster than 1 round every 5 business days.

Ofc that’s also ignoring that 2S38 is much harder to disable through the turret than Begleit is and that the gun-performance is vastly superior (2S38 has significantly better ballistics, more penetration [even at angles] with the APHECBC than Begleit has with the APCBC-T and also has access to APFSDS in addition).

Congrats, you have discovered the basic fact that humans can make mistakes.

The next step is learning that having strict punishments for small mistakes is stupid and unfun.

They certainly ain’t equal, but they’re very similar and are both undertiered.

It’s possible to carry additional APFSDS shells in reserve ammo rack next to driver.
Also AT autolader works incorrectly in the game. It should have 3 apfsds loaded and ready to fire, while 9 more placed next to loader in the first order ammo rack are loaded manually into autoloader.
OTOMATIC needs more complicated loading modelling with few stages ammo racks.

Sure, gaijin had it wrong this whole time and realised their mistakes, now move it down in BR after you put it up justifying it with a buff. 2S38 to 11.7, OTOMATIC to 11.0 so it doesn’t face the Su-30 premium cope.
