It’s even so that sometimes it blocks something that 95% of all cases works perfectly fine.
For me it’s VirtualDesktop (which I use to connect the VR headset to the PC) which gets blocked by BattleEye maybe one time out of 20: WT in those rare cases then starts in desktop mode instead of VR mode. So I restart the WT client, and then it starts in VR mode just fine.
Could the “relaunch, only then it works” be a War Thunder related issue, rather than Battleye?

I am not sure, if that is possible, as in, War Thunder launching without effective “protection” by Battleye, but if so, it could explain at least that behavior.
What it doesn’t explain though is, that WT, as you said, launches just fine in most other cases …

No, it looks like BE launches always for me, just sometimes it chooses to let OpenTrack through, some other times not.
Which makes no sense at all, from a technical point of view…

I’ve had it block TrackIR as well. Close the game and TrackIR and then opening both made it work.
I tried many times.I started the game as administrator also In the last 2 years that was the only way to use It. 1 start Face track NoIR,than WT,than turn off Face track noIR and start Opentrack.If I started these programs after WT was running,they never worked Now,they are not working at all .I hope it is just a temporary bug
Issue is back as of today. It does come once in a blue moon usually, but today me and a few other players are having this issue ever after Restarts, updates to opentrack etc. Makes sim unplayable…
Looks like Battleye is blocking opening game in VR mode as well. I opened another topic on this issue. Yesterday all been working fine…

Its Effecting Trackir 5 Also so has to be on all aspects, no matter how many times I restart game it wont work and work perfectly fine before the patch today.
I even Reinstalled Both WarThunder and TrackIr5 and still same effect
They’ve stated before that problems like this have NOTHING to do with the game and advice you to contact BatllEye support.
Yeah, thing is I’ve and probably many more players did that already. But it shouldn’t be my responsibility.
Since GAIJIN added the anti cheat, THEY have the responsibility to have the game working with one of the most important stuff for flight sims. They also paid to have the anti cheat in their game, so they for sure have a support person and a way to contact them that’s much more direct than a player’s email. This is a game issue, not a player issue.
Track IR 5.5.3 does not work today as well. Battle Eye blocking NPClient64.dll.
This is rubbish, devs should test any new update of any component, 3rd party or not, with mostly used, gaming standard apps for head track/VR.

Happens every time now. Sim is unplayable for me in this state and it’s the only mode I typically play.
I’ve found 2 workarounds.
Workaround for Opentrack being blocked by BattlEye/EAC
If you are getting “Blocked loading of file” errors or your head-tracking isn’t working in War Thunder, try these two steps:
Remove EXE Links: In Opentrack, go to your Profile and delete any custom configuration that is directly linked to the War Thunder .exe files. This prevents the anti-cheat from seeing Opentrack as an “injector.”
The “Warm Start” Method: Launch the game with Anti-cheat unselected in the launcher. Once in-game, press “TO BATTLE.” When the game prompts you to restart to initialize Anti-cheat, hit Restart. This seems to allow the tracking protocol to bypass the initial block.
Note: This is a technical conflict, not a ban. Opentrack is still a permitted third-party tool!
