Aspects of the game. They enjoy the game as a whole, because otherwise they’d be doing other thigns with their time. Please refer againto the provided wikipedia link, the single thing in psychology that is SO consistent, even among fruit flies and flatworms, that it has “Law” status. Things that are [overall] discomforting cease being done.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they revert the change after the ingame sale is over. They have done stuff like that in the past. Just that this change directly hurt their in game sale. We shall see.
I think now it’s reverted to what it was before “Sons of Attila” update. I played 2 battles, one at BR 8.3 second at 9.7. Both games it took 4-5 minutes to respawn base I destroyed.
There are a million games in bizarrely specific niches with no competitors that you do NOT play. There’s a game where you control fingers on each hand individually and try to hold a spoon and eat soup. Are you compelled to play that just because it’s in a niche genre and has no competitors, lol? No.
You play War Thunder if and only if you find it overall fun. Period. Competitors existing or not doesn’t suddenly make the game worth your time more than other games or hobbies. It being very fun overall does.
4-5 guys fighting over bases is already ridiculous enough. But having to wait for an extended period of time just to be able to drop few bombs is absolutely absurd.
I often get left hanging in my A7-E (I have talisman so don’t ask why), not being able to bomb any bases just because other jet destroyed them first.
I just hate that Gaijin always implement these ghosts economic nerf in every update. Maybe we should start boycotting again so they won’t dare to do this kind of cheap play again.
Who are you to tell other people why they play the game?
Most people would probably play something else if there were a similar competitor that offered the scope of content and its degree of “realism”. No WT is not “overall fun”, most of the time it’s a PITA with occasional moments of “eh, that wasn’t so bad”.
People choose to put up with WT because… probably a lot of reasons, but I imagine most are because they have an interest in the subject matter (because why in gawd’s name wouldn’t you play anything better if you didn’t).
So your premise here isn’t just wrong, its simplistic and you once again don’t seem to understand how people work.
It’s literally a law of psychology that applies to all animals with brains, not just humans, not just mammals, but birds, lizards, fruit flies, worms, everything. It’s like asking “who are you to tell apples that they should fall to earth at a rate of (1/2)gt^2 ?” I mean psychology isn’t as 100.000% as ironclad as physics, but for our purposes here where nothing is going on remotely extremely enough to break the basic law, it’s close enough.
Most people would probably play something else if there were a similar competitor that offered the scope of content and its degree of “realism”.
This is simply you admitting that the scope of content and degree of realism are overall very fun for you, more than whatever drawbacks detract by. If these assets weren’t worth the drawbacks, you would be reading a book instead, or playing another video game, or walking in the park, or learning to bake pies, or whatever added up to overall more enjoyment and satisfaction.

“furiously does mental gymnastics to rationalize away/cope with the fact that the game is obviously just very fun” It’s pretty obvious from your wording that you were trying to come up with excuses as you wrote that for the first time…
because why in gawd’s name wouldn’t you play anything better if you didn’t
How am I supposed to “get a clue” when I specifically asked you for your response and you (still even now) refused to give any clues, lol. Almost as if mind reading doesn’t exist. If you want to teach people things, you need to talk about them. If you don’t want to teach people things, then move on with your life.
gaijin is more like anti progression, they are frustration friend, time to use your wallet, beside that its all about spending more time inside the game.
