Driving somewhere costs you the fuel in your car, it does not burn money in your pocket directly. When you do charity work, it doesn’t cost you any money, but your time and effort, to get your reward of helping others/feeling better. etc. It costs you many hours of playing a mediocre video game to achieve the same thing you could instantaneously credit card whip. etc.
None of those are “free”.

It is predatory business practice that relies upon FOMO, limited-time availability of fungible, infinite goods and exploits “pay-for-convenience” and “frustration-induced spending.”
The other MMOs I listed, while each have their expenses and costs, tend to be upfront about costs and pay-to-access is a transparent, fair exchange without predatory aspects.
The competetive ones even maintain rules around cosmetics and their impact on “Glance Value” for direction, movement and silhouette.
If bushes were an all-time available good, that you can grind towards like you can crew skills or modifications or tech tree vehicles - I may still complain if the grind is insurmountable, but I will not consider their presence as predatory as they are presently.
My proposal for the bush-business is make it a system like crew skills/experting: you need a lot of RP to unlock it per crew per tier, or you can buy it directly with golden eagles.
I don’t have issues with the premium aspect of the model and consider that part analogoues to any other p2w MMO like Runescape, WOW, GW2, SWTORand FF14 and premium vehicles analogous to expansions.

well yes, because otherwise we would be arguing about different things thinking the other ment the same thing as the first and going nowhere. Not specifying things OFTEN leads to discussions devolving into personal insults and things like that. I has this exact issue i while back where the word “accurate” was used as “true to real life” by one side and as “a tight grouping of projectiles at a distance” by the other.

I am playing for fun and I never got bushes for free, my BP is at level 16.
oh if were going there then half of warthunder players will be banned for alt accounts
I got to about level 60 without ever trying last battlepass just form daily logins and unintentionally doing missions (like win 3 games or kill x enemies or whatever)

Have you checked the challenges for the BP?
They are often (not always) quite easy to complete, have a 3 week completion window (which often is more than enough but sometimes it can be tough) and each one gives you three BP levels immediately on completion. Add to that the daily quests and daily logins and you rack up levels quite fast.
just the login bonus gives a total of 24 levels if you just start the game each day, you don’t even have to play.

You couldn’t pay me to play naval, I mainly play ground and sometimes air to get planes for ground.

No, I also don’t play all the time, I barely played in May which means the first 5-6 challenges were out of reach already ever since they decided to make them time restricted, the usual decline in QoL as the first BPs weren’t like that.
Daily logins likely not getting me to 57 either, and then you still need more currencies besides that.
I also like to play lower ranks which are excluded from completing tasks and everything else because who knows why.
I’ve started taking out the Ki-109 and P.108A again which is a lot of fun, but can’t progress daily tasks, can’t do special medals, can’t do battlepass challenges because you’re not allowed to have fun in this game whilst also progressing, also screw your SL and RP gain with 95% RP penalties.
It’s super fun to use them at least when you find a gap without enemy planes, infinitely more satisfying than modern weaponry, and really effective.
Well there is something i absolutely can agree with you on, its weird to lock the BP/challenges/tasks behind the rank of the vehicle. everyone should be able to gain in the BP with just normal play no mater the level/rank/BR etc.
I highly recommend checking the challenges though, some of them are achieved without any effort almost at all, just a slight change of what you might normally play. for example one of the earlier ones was to get 7 player-kills in each in a tank, tank destroyer and spaa, so 21 kills total in 21 days.
or to get 3 player-kills each with bombs of three different sizes.
So some of them you can achieve almost without changing from how you might normally play.
but then there are others that are weirdly tedious/grindy like “play 75 battles where you destroyed at least one other player” which means about 4 battles a day every day for 3 weeks, which isn’t really that great for players with less time to play.
And now it’s BP talk…
