That is the maximum possible loadout, but may not be the best. Im currently looking at 3x Aim-9M (1x twin mount on one wing and 1x single mount with BOL on the other) With AMRAAM on the belly.

If its possible, maybe also another loadout with 2x Aim-9M (twin mount on one wing) and an AMRAAM on the other with BOL. With then AMRAAM on the belly.

In either case, the addition of 160 additional CMs might be more beneficial than the extra AAM. Especially as you’ll probably want to avoid direct furballing.

One thing is for certain, if it gets released and is completely sh!t. We will take it one with Gaijin, cause Britain’s been screwed too much and we have some people with good influence in Gaijin talking in this forum

In theory, there shouldn’t be anything for them to screw up like they have for the Tornados.

Though a part of me is still expecting the Harrier Gr3 cockpit HUD

The biggest concern I have is the BR.

I was wondering, with the upgrades, would the FA2 have gun lead for shooting other planes? If not I really am struggling to see the point in taking guns like, ever for it?

Blue Vixen doesn’t have a CW illuminator, so no.

But yeah, Aiming them is pain

Its currently on the Gripens if you want to try it out

But was suppose to be exceptionally good IRL

Base for the PS-05 radar in the Gripen.
Also the base for the ECR-90 Which is the radar in the Typhoon

There are a ton of things I know they are gonna purposefully fuck up

Hopefully the SHar 2 gets the proper one

This is one of the main things they are going to mess up by putting it at 12.7/13.0 and absolutely mess it up

Huh thats interesting, would deffo make the SHAR FRS.1 a lot more effective I suspect. Shame it isnt in the game when it came in.

Really enjoying taking the Shar in AirSB.

Getting used to the bomb/rocket sights is fun, disappointing that we don’t get AP rockets but those RN ones do damage to light targets.
Bombing is fun too but having to have a sharp AoA to see the reticle. Haven’t tried the Drag bombs yet.

Only thing it’s missing is a marker for locked targets when in a2a/standard mode.

It should have a marker, shouldn’t it, or am I missing something?

Just give us a HUD, any HUD with working horizon/attitude display and working velocity vector…

Why not use CCRP? No need to see the reticle if you bomb automatically…

Haven’t tried doing that yet.
Not entirely sure how in SB.

need to set “target point” stuff in binds… since I pretty much only use CCIP i couldnt really help you: best way to describe it is

  • set target point
  • select relevant weapons with wpn selection
  • release authority
  • fly over
  • profit

Being the Harrier Gr3 HUD. The SHAR has one of the better HUDs for it. So a good platform to learn in. Aircraft like the Buc and Tornado get a little more fiddly.

Though I really hope we get the actual HUD this update, if we do get the FA2:
