BAe Harrier II (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

No idea

I see

Yes, for older RWR’s the only way to tell the specific systems apart was to know what it should sound like, since you only had a series of band indicator, & and mode lights to go off otherwise.

The APR-39A for example of a threat library and a “synthetic map display” (no longer direct output of antenna) and a speak & spell chip to provide head up capability.

It’ll resurface when we get either FRS.51 or GR.9A

Well, FRS51 would be the other chat

Hello I return once again.
I have found the HMD I thought was Stryker (the one used by Jaaaag GR.3A and Harrier GR.9)
This HMD was a fucking pain to find again but I have found it again.

What the bastard thing looks like

Screenshot 2026-02-11 123459
the arrows were fully black as I remember

Story of how it got stuck to me

I also had a 3 second remembered dream of flying a Harrier GR.9A somewhere in the Gulf and then something pulls up alongside me, I think I had to AIM-9s on the missile rails, I somehow felt/knew I didn’t have guns. I look right 80 degrees and up 20 degrees (know how much it is due to climbing with jets in the virtual view in WT)
Then the whole thing stops…

Where I think I first saw it

Here on Secret Project forums: South African Radar & EW and Communications Projects | Page 2 | Secret Projects Forum

I have had a similar type of dream where I had been heavily thinking of something like the main cannon of the Rooivalk prototypes and the offered 30mm chin turret. When I go to sleep, I remember 1 thing, this:
Rooivalk ADM with XC-30 30mm cannon turret_02
Exactly like this, maybe slightly different but almost 1:1 identical.

People joke, “it came to me in a dream” but seems with me, my dreams are true and are from the most powerful of almighty, omnipotent gods…

We’ve already covered the Striker HMSS being harvested from Jaguar GR.3 (in this very thread iirc) when it left service. Some sets were used on Harrier GR.9’s and some on Tornado GR.4’s;

I know, but 3 times across the last year or 2 I have asked and I want to show you guys what was stuck in my head for 3 years. I know what the proper Striker* symbology looks like.
I am spreading my disease to others

Striker* not Stryker;

They trialed a HMD/S on a 2 seat T8 I believe.

Could be a cool premium

Maybe could be applied to our “T.10” like how the SRAAM is on GR.1 even when tested on T.52

Or just slap it on the sea harrier lol.

This is a full Air to ground gunnery range video. It also includes the Harriers voice warning system. The Harrier lacks this altogether.
Random Harrier Trivia NEED A COUPLE MORE CONTESTANTS

Here is an excellent video of the harriers HUD in the air to ground mode.

Its completely wrong in game. Many of us would appreciate it if you could pass on this report.

New report was made based on this. For a maximum thrust sustained turn at 95% internal fuel 2 sidewinders and guns.

Why are matrix’ very detailed reports ignored ?

Mans put in alot of effort,…charts, diagrams the lot!

Its obvious the harrier(s) we have in game are seriously gimped.
Theres plenty of premium harriers so its a win for us and the snail.

Free the harrier!!!

I’m going to follow this up with a harrier performing a max rate turn during an airshow.

The sustained turn rate comes out close to 16-17 degrees per second and there is HUD footage to go with it.

Im really rooting.for you/ harrier buff.
Out of all the jets that need some love i want the harrier to fly correcly/ better. Its never going.to be meta but could be alot more fun in general.

I cant see how gaijin doesnt act on what you have already put forward. If its just (lack of) time they could atleast acknowledge that you are right.

There are 2x accepted reports regarding the incorrect sooty exhaust for the Harriers, and they wont even fix that

(and that actually would be a notable buff imo for the lower BR stuff where visually spotting and IDing aircraft is important in markerless gamemodes like GRB and ASB)
