Bad teams? Make the game easier

A flip side to my thread.

The recent BR changes are good, they allow formerly 11.7 premium tanks some breathing space. Anyway, one of the biggest issues is “bad teams” that people complain a lot about, so instead of whining we should put forward some ideas and become constructive.

If we have two assumptions, that

A. The playerbase won’t get better on average due to new players
B. Top tier is already inhabitated by noobs

Then solutions should be to improve the game for everyone but the select few elite players.

So here are some ideas.

  1. Add more city maps to the rotation, reduce open maps by 90% so the skill of FPS games (which many players play) can transfer to the game easily
    Benefits of city maps
  • Less exposed to CAS
  • Spawncamping isn’t as deadly
  • Easier to play and rewards reaction time
  1. Add deathstreak to encourage “bad players”, discouraging one death leave and to give them some contribution to the team. 2 deaths for a CAS plane with inferior weaponry to the actual version of the plane (similar to Arcade AB). Similar to Call Of Duty Old MW3’s deathstreak system.
  2. Scrap nation based matchmaking (meaningless in the era of copypasta tanks) so there’s no “muuuh USA teammates”
  3. Display of the player who killed your tank for 5 seconds after respawn (you can see himt through wall)
  4. More precise hit indicator direction

Everyone still want to stay in wide open maps and when CAS killed them, they complain…

You just cant please everyone (and all tanks).
CAS is a consequence of wide open maps.

Anyway for the map balancing, some are sniper tanks while others are close range tanks.

That said, I think city maps are still more balanced. Western tanks tend to be more agile while Russian tanks tend to be more armored.

Welp, Gaijin will need to make bigger city maps. They are always too small.

This game doesnt need any more Sun City or Sw*den like maps.

City maps encourage camping the corners gameplay and on few select ones such as Sun City, they dont even provide cover against CAS. Terrible idea overall.

absolutely not. Deathstreaks in MW3 were terrible addition overall. MW2 version was less intrusive but MW3 straight up showed the location of your killer, gave you extra damage etc. Your proposed “deathstreak” would only enable more CAS revenge bombing, something this game needs less of, not more.

See aforementioned deathstreak. Just no lol, lowers overall skill level of entire playerbase. Combined with your proposed CAS plane with inferior weaponry, this would just make revenge CAS worse than it already is.

In a game where most encounters are decided with the first shot, this would be useless. also, once again, lowers overall skill level of entire playerbase.

How about if you just go to COD
First of all, spawncamping is one of biggest issues, and unbalanced maps.
Some maps have autodetect zone small as H**** and others have enormous range.
And some maps you can just drive behind enemy spawn, and not being seen at all and have a nice cover spot ( poland) Japan)
Giving bad players cas plane , what do you think they manage to do with it, nope.

Yeah like mid tier people using fighters as base bombers… and even top tier EF…

City maps just makes it i hide in here, and just wait.
And only what they give cover is helos.

This games needs fixing first on 1 death leavers/1 tank lineups
getting rid of ±1MM and replacing it 0,7
unbalanced maps
And giving option to ban 2 maps.
And not being able to platoon like clowns, (having 2.3br and 13.0 lineups playing together, and if not having tank atleast in 2br range of helo/plane you are not being able to go in GRB, so people wont use 13.0 jet and some BT5 only lineups

Just naming “few” issues

Some points I agree, some I don’t.

I especially agree with this one. So many bad maps, allowing only one block is essentially forcing you to play them. That causes people to outright leave sometimes.

what am i reading? this is quite frankly one of the most profound moments of someone not understanding what a modern MBT is good at, can we go over the fact that most MBT’s are rated for 2KM+? because that’s what their armor and darts are for, that’s what the LASER RANGERFINDER is for, that’s why darts travel at Mach 4+, its why most tanks have good TURRET protection and not HULL protection, because they aren’t meant to be getting their hull shot at, its why the Abrams is performing so horribly, because its meant to be engaging around hills and using its depression and very good dart for at range engagements. As a matter of fact, ALL TANKS excel at this long range hill combat since its what they were designed for. Yes even the Russian ones were designed for this that’s why they have entrenching tools.

Quite frankly this is one of the most terrible ideas and its literally only the first one, the ONLY GOOD POINT made on this entire post is scrapping nation based matchmaking since it would make people face their own tanks more, develop skill to aim at those weak spots and refine their aim. The reason why so many players lack any skill at toptier is cause so much of the gameplay has been destroyed by the fact you can have an entire lineup at toptier entirely consisting of premium vehicles. There is no skill anymore because people don’t need to play lower ranks and work their way up like people who don’t have the money to.

City maps also don’t hide you from CAS, it just makes FNF munitions more of an issue because city maps do one thing that people seem to forget, the restrict SPAA rather significantly by creating a massive radar dead zone. Not allowing the SAM system to intercept munitions until it has maybe 2-3 seconds to react, or shoot down aircraft which can simply avoid radar entirely with those buildings, it doesn’t “reduce CAS” it makes the issue a whole lot worse.
