The B-52H has CCRP but no HUD in the cockpit to use in AirSim. So it’s completely useless to use CCRP in AirSim due to this. I know the plane only has a cockpit place holder but could we at least get something as a place holder for CCRP? This way we can at least utilize this CCRP in AirSim? Otherwise we are just left to use the old school traditional bomber view and pray the cloud Gods look upon us. Also any plans to fully make the B-52 cockpit at any point?
You can use the camera it have to mark the CCRP point, then align to it using that and drop the bombs.
But with no HUD how do you know you’re perfectly aligned? In my experience if you’re even slightly off you won’t have permission to release the bombs.
I swap to the camera and can see if i am offcenter, and also just use the bombsight to align kinda where the ccrp marker is,then i hold the release and it usually hits, cause runway is wide enough, the bases too.
So basically sit in the thermal camera and try to just line your plane up with that view to drop the bombs? Just extra steps for something that shouldn’t even need to be done if they just modeled the cockpit or at least a HUD of so sort. I’ll definitely try to do what you’re say though. Thanks!
It is what it is. Have to improvise, adapt and overcome
