Well this was hidden and will probably be deleted/locked here soon. That sucks. It just does not seem remotely fair that one section of the player base was able to deny an MBT going to another nation by pointing out the controversial past between the two main nations, to then get an Gaijin apology and a whole separate Dev/CM response only for them to turn around and do the same. It is what it is I guess.
Republic of China what we know as Taiwan was in control of all of China for roughly 37 years after the fall of the Qing dynasty. During and after WW2 ROC was over thrown by the People Republic(PRC) and ROC retreated to Taiwan, and now functions as a De facto country.

Really expecting the Thai VT-4 when I saw the M1A2T but nope, crying fan base has enough monetary sway over Gaijin so no in-service, already modelled in-game, subtree vehicle for you Japan.

Can people stop flagging the original post just because you don’t like it? They need to rework the system, make the original post remain un hidden but flag it for priority attention for the mods to make sure it’s not inappropriate or something.

well the trees actual name is USSR, so logically yes thats the default place for Russia and all former soviet and communist states. Id argue china should have been a part of the USSR with north korea from the very beginning too, mostly to save on the copy paste hellscape that tree is. Note before this gets flagged because “im criticising china” or some rubbish im not opposing chinas presence in the game.
it saves a LOT of the arguments over where what should go other than in situations like canada or South America where my idea view does prioritise Canada going to Britain over the USA or argentina going to Germany (lot of Germans in argentina for some reason cant think why).
Most of the Canadians I’ve spoken to on the issue favour a British placement over the States. I think I’ve maybe spoken to one argie in my whole life and this was years before playing war thunder lmao

I would be okay with the ausies going to the US if UK gets canada.
I think all things considered that would be a better resolution than my canadian friends and aussie family be split into several trees. like right now.
Dont think the US needs canada at all and britains vehicle diversity does fall off a cliff after 1960.

I think most of us Aussies would be happy with having our kit in one tree, ANY DAMN TREE, rather than scattered all over. It’s going to be a nightmare if they get around to adding the Australian CAC Sabers, Mirage 3s, Leopard 1s, Tiger ARH, Boxer IFVs and K9 arty. And probably more that I can’t think of off the top of my head.
While I think the UK would be a better fit than the USA either is better then the current system.
