It’s funny to think that M1A2T is, actually, the most modern Abrams variant ingame and one of the most modern service MBTs as well having entered service just barely a year ago.
It just isn’t much gameplay wise because:
1- The turret armor improvements over baseline M1A2 (also present in SEP and SEPv2) are not modelled.
2- It comes with the several armor bugs and nerfs of all Abrams tanks (turret ring, fuel tank bulkheads, etc).
3- It will face the “wrong” opponents (it will face NATO MBTs, like Leopards and Strv 122s, instead of just ZTZ-96s and ZTZ-99s)
4- War Thunder’s aggressive missions differ a lot from its primarily defensive role.
M1A2T is basically a HUGE deal for Taiwan in real life; but it will just be an average tank ingame.
Yes and no, while the UN does not recognize them they have participated in voting and several UN nations do view them as a country. The United states and other nations have gone out of their way to support Tawian even if its not diplomatic they still show support with arms and defense.
Further point, they fall under all rules needed for a state to be a country under international law.
This transcends politics, this is a game and if japan cant get the VT4 then china cant get the abrams. Balance is what matters not foreign affairs of which no one here has any say in.
My point stands, if china gets abrams then japan gets VT4 what more confusion is there? I understand the idea of the Leo 2SG but you get a vehicle japan and the US gets left out because the community disagrees. Cleary by the number of posts a lot of the community disagrees with the idea of china getting an abrams. We will have to see what happens in the next couple days.
