Centurion Mark 1 is 6.0 and can’t be in the mode are you sure they weren’t comets?
Also not stated anywhere that attackers only get 5 respawns while defenders got unlimited

For anyone who has played Great Britain in this im sure you have noticed the joys of the ammunition that is used, due to the nature of the maps and number of tanks it is somewhat harder to flank (not impossible) which means you are forced to fight head on where you will likely suffer minimal post pen or our favourite shell shattering.
For this mode to be better for consistency solid shot should really be reworked so Britain
Thankfully that should not be an issue and if fixed it can make the game more enjoyable for everyone
This is only a problem because these modes lack any structural asymetry to balance out the vehicles of the “stronger side”.
Take the D-Day event in 2024 I believe; despite the balancing problems of having equal teams of Tigers vs at best M4A1 76s it was unbelievably fun, my personal favourite event of all time and many agree with me.

War Thunder is not and never should be treated as some sort of competitive tank FPS. It is and always will be at its core a quasi-simulator historical military vehicle game. Historical game modes are what the people actually want, not Esports COD with tanks.

I must say I like the event. Only tweak id currently do is to move spawns around a little because on two maps i have played, both times i had to crest a ridge to leave a spawn for a flank.
it funnels the team towards the killzone which is obviously hard to work with.
play the other gamemode of it if im correct CAS isnt allowed
OK so opinions after 1 game.
This gamemode is phenomenal!
BUT it requires work.
I played a 5.7 lineup for Germany with the Porsche Tiger as my main tank, from the defending team on Port Novo.
It’s really fun playing WT asymmetrically! The old 3 point Port Novo which forms part of this map was notoriously unbalanced but it works in this scenario.
Point A is undefendable. The defenders need to spawn closer to the point they’re supposed to be defending to be able to set up and defend it.
The quick cap point was too fast. I was near the point and someone flanked it I think in a light tank. I couldn’t react and get there before it was fully capped.
The defending team won. The game got quieter and randomly ended… turns out attackers were hitting their 5 death limit. I think this is too low. If anything, it should be the defending team which has capped respawns VS a much larger assault, offset by having a better position and defending being easier.
Time travel is a problem. This would thrive as a WW2 themed mode with no cold war vehicles. The absense of them would not detract from the gamemode. Their presence is a problem. I didn’t see a Pucara or Wyvern, for example, but imagine how out of place that would feel in this mode.
CAS needs to be restricted. Outright disallow certain aicraft that are a bit too effective e.g. Yak 9K, Do-335B-2, etc.
Allow attackers to spawn more attack aircraft and make fighters expensive (as if they are the escorts with little fuel left). Give them no airfield!
For defenders, make fighters super cheap but either outright disallow certain anti tank armaments or count them as strike aircraft with them. Make strike aircraft super expensive. Make it feel more defensive!
I wouldn’t allow spawning CAS until the B point is captured.
Needs an upper and lower tier! If made WW2 themed an extra higher tier would be nice for some of the late war stuff to be allowed. Perhaps limit the umber of spawns of 6.0 or higher and make them more expensive. Probably don’t include the Maus… unless maybe instead of adding nukes let us have the Maus!
Also there’s a CAS problem in this game-mode like i get cassed if live above 3 minutes
Bold statement, got any hard numbers to back it up?
Because I prefer fun and somewhat balanced gamemodes over historic crap every day of the week.
After game 2. Manigot line, Germany, defending.
The first point is undefendable. Light tanks are a problem in this gamemode! The points need to be slower to cap!
After that, the attackers could make zero progress and we camped them trying to push over a ridge. The attackers felt like they were defenders.
The removal of out of place vehicles doesn’t maek the remainign gameplay unbalanced.
