IS-2 (1944) at 6.7? Getting uptiered to 7.7 against M48’s? Oh so now we have to verse Cold War tanks with our WW2 tanks?
It’s like you are doing the exact opposite of what community wants, and then you act surprised when we get angry ? I understand that your game is nothing but a business to you,but please, have some dignity and BE atleast a little bit fair towards the players that put you in the place that you are in right now.
There are TONS of wrongly placed vehicles at certain BR’s. I do not care what nation you play, but there has to be a fairplay. This went far beyond impudence. As for the people on the forum, comment down below what tank at what BR bugs you the most, and explain why
Tiger II Nr.1-50 having the same br as the Tiger II (H) while having a massive weakspot, the jagdpanther being in 6.3 while being hard to lay in 6.0, the panthers being moved in 6.0 even though they haven’t a lot of armor, and an “eh” gun (yes it’s not bad, but for 6.0 with all the issues it has you would expect better) and very bad mobility (the max speed is good, but it has no reverse nor neutral steering).
And if you get in the BR of your tank, you’re lucky, because most of the time you are getting uptiered (personnaly, 3/4 of my battles are in 7.7 even if my lineup is 6.7).
And I only compalin about german tanks because it’s the only tech tree I have at this BR, but I’m conscious that other nation got hit by the update.
Yeah this whole WW2 vs. post-war debabte is pointless. It’s not like a T-34 1941/42 didn’t suddendly encounter Tigers, Panthers and Ferdinands, while the SU-76 was just rolling out of Soviet factories.
Heck, the Ferdinand is a 1943 vehicle, sitting at the same BR as the T-44 that was produced at the end of 1944 and never saw any action.
Of course the ammunition types and RoF of a lot of post-war vehicle is kinda questionable, and I’m sure it would be possible to create more balanced match-ups, if Gaijin invested some time into it.
I dont said that a BT-5 can lolpen. Miragens comment was about reserve tanks can kill other tanks but maybe shouldn’t do this. That reserve tanks have no “lolpen” cannons is just a fact which is just a fact and has nothing to do with Miragens comment.
It’s pointless when taken literally, yes (for example PT-76 is cold war and should never go up in BR), though people often use it as a shorthand for “I give up speed and mobility for this armour that is going to be useless when I meet an early MBT with much better gun handling and great pen”. Yes, the two vehicles can kill one another, so effectively it’s like they have no armour as far as their guns are concerned, which means that the other factors become more important. Ability to get gun on target, mobility, rate of fire.
Things have improved recently, but the problem still exists.
It’s more what I lack that scares me.
My fire rate is at 2.5 rounds per minute, so I will have to hold back at all times because of that.
My gun depression is barely working, meaning loads of spots are a no-go and I’ll have to expose my whole tank most of the times in order to fire a shot.
My gun handling is also pretty awful, meaning my reaction time to something will be slow as well.
I can’t see a single redeeming factor of the IS-2s when compared to M48A1, and surely those two facing off on a battlefield will be a one-way fight.
I’m just stating obvious issues that IS-2 tanks have.
Bad gun depression is a trait of Soviet design, but -3 degrees is pretty awful, even for their standard.
