Are UK Tanks and Planes worth grinding? Looking for advice on sniping performance and UK vs US comparison

None.

at 11.0+ at least

It’s dire at lower tiers too

threw me for a loop realising the Tortoise is the same BR as the T26E5

True.

Then its just around 10.3/10.7 (maybe also 9.3) where it doesnt hold true.

Chally Mk3/DS for example do have much better firepower than the US equivalent at that BR

Though I think the 17 pounders are also quite decent too and might out perform US equivalents as well at lower BRs

Definitely in terms of MBTs but US does have access to the M1128 + M10 Booker with M900 and 120S with M829A2 if you really need a railgun around 10.7

True

A1 btw, not A2. I always forget the 120S exists. Though I do wonder why its 10.3 and not 10.7 tbh

It helps when even the Challenger is faster than it lol, pretty much all gun.

Yeah, but that then falls apart as to why the CR2s arent 11.3 vs the M1A1 at 11.7

Yeah… Just need to look at the J34 and French Hunter F6 SB BRs to understand that Gaijin doesnt actually know what balance is

Well at 4.7 (for now) the UK trades the Jumbo Sherman/T14’s stabilizer, speed and .50 cal for way lower BR/better turret armor, great armor and still gets the same idiotproof oneshot ammo.

Which is nice. I’m sure the tank will be unplayable after BR updates though. Only the KV-1 is allowed to have really good consistent armor at low BR.

I can’t speak for anything cold-war+, however Britain prop tree is easily the most overpowered of any nation, with alot of planes (especially Spitfires) being a full 1.0 below where they realistically should be.

The tanks are pretty diverse too, having a good mix of heavy tanks, medium tanks, light tanks, tank destroyers, and SPAA.

7.7 BR Spit 24 lets goooo

And trades the APCR. Sure that APCR is very circumstantial, but it’s definitely nice to have.

although most tanks best round is just AP/APBC/APCBC (no explosive filler) id say if you do learn shot placement, but now that the 75mm brit tanks got M61 (APCBC with explosive filler) the early days are gonna be good now that if you want something with a form of APHE in your lineup you won’t need to use the M4A1 (Sherman 2) instead you can use actual British vehicles, even though personally I’m only doing britsh ww2 air and getting all the centurion/chieftain hulled tanks, id say that its worth a grind but the mid teirs can be a bit… punishing with the way early APDS is handled in this game (not to mention HEP/HESH tanks)

Been playing through British Rank 6 air at the moment, and it’s rough. I remember looking at the BR changes that brought all of the meta Rank 6 fighters down (Sabres, Mig-15/17s), and thinking “Boy, are the lesser known options really that much better?”.

Nope. Silly me. That was just the most blatant version of the minor nation tax we’ve ever seen. Boy, I sure love fighting F-2 Sabres in a Venom, when outside of a slow speed idiot fight, it outperforms me in every single way.

They’re all somewhat workable, they just all have kinda specific niches that they don’t work outside of well, and at least one fatal flaw that really limits your options when you’re up against someone who knows what they’re doing.

This is also not mentioning the uptiers into supersonics, which to be fair is a blanket problem in the 8.3-9.0 bracket, but boy do the British planes not handle this well.

Yes, every victory in english they always say “okay chaps put the kettle on” meaning the definition of winning is Britain even in US they start the kettle out of respect.

It can snipe and APS can deflect shells. As long as your aims good you should be sniping, capping then “Okay chaps put the kettle on” at the end.

Remember when I said “Okay chaps put the kettle on”?US tanks do not have a tea maker in them because they like drinking that nasty black coffee without milk and sugar. Extra module provides moral boost.

The top tier lineup is pretty decent in my opinion, except that UK is still lacking a good light vehicle.
Altough the small ready rack is sometimes infuriating, as already mentioned above. And if i remember correctly, now it doesn’t even load shells directly in your rdy rack anymore when you resupply from a cap.

With the Eurofigter and Apache E they also have very good CAS.
Also Apache MK1 with starstreaks is still the chad of all helis.

Are you one of those Stevie Wonders who tries to win turn-fights vs. Zeros in a Jet? Asking for a friend.
