I dont play low BR often, but I think they are fine, Solid Shot probably needs a little buff though.
The ones around 7.0 kinda suck because of how much Gaijin has nerfed APDS and how much APHE (that britain doesnt have) is overperforming. But its okay.
Chieftains and Challenger 1s are very solid MBTs, with half decent lineups to use them with.
Top tier is DOA, dont play past 10.7, its just not worth the effort unless you want a single C&P Abrams.
Planes…
Very good up to about 7.0. Then 7.0-8.7 is mostly over BRed, heavily compressed aircraft that really struggle, only a few are okay at best.
After that we have a few good aircraft, but a LOT of ground attackers which are anti-meta at the moment, have decent fun still though, if that is your thing. But its not the aircraft fault, its ARBs fault.
Some of the fighters are okay, but require the right playstyle. Others would be okay if they ever decompressed
Top tier… The Typhoon is good, buggy unfinished mess, with some the weakest missiles at top tier, but good. Should be excellent if they ever remember it exists. Some of the weaker top tier CAS though.
With the tiny ready rack and very long ready rack replenishment, the fire rate can be very low. Lower than most after those 4 rounds are gone.
Whilst the turret cheeks are okay, it has a giant hole between them that is a 1HK every time.
Its very very slow, so getting into a sniping position before the enemy is basically impossible.
Yes, the Iron Fist can intercept APFSDS… But semi-inconsistantly, the shell needs to be fired far enough away that its slowed down by the time it reaches you its within the intercept window. Which is usually above about 800-1000m, which is rare on most maps. Then it only intercepts 4, after they are gone you are in a mid 11.7 with upgraded optics at 12.7 vs tanks that outperform you in every single metric.
And that is also assuming that you’ve not just had a Spike Slinger spam 5 missiles at you. Had that happen a few times before.
BN should be 12.0 imo. Or the 11.7s drop down to 11.3 and the BN can be 11.7

Iv had enough of weak shells using the Chrysler. Unlocked the first M1 abrams and called it a day-HEAT and the m735 shell is no bueno.
Games used to be fun
Consider the benefits. You join the Brit club. Now you might not have won the lottery and be an actual Brit but you can become an honourary Brit by grinding out the Brit Tech Tree. You might even find yourself drinking tea.
By the time you’ve got the mid tiers - after grinding through the joys of only having solid shot AP and vs. most opponents with APHE - you will probably be quite good at shot placement by that point. That is when you get 20 pounders with APDS and stabilisers. Plus Spitfires - which people insist on turn-fighting and getting pasted by every single time.
Challenger 2 is the best looking MBT in the world. Ignore what anyone else says, particularly those funny speaking North American Colonial Types who still can’t speak/read English despite having 300 years to get the basics worked out. ALUMINIUM
British Aircraft are also the best looking at whatever time period you happen to talk about. If you’re going to sink hours into playing a game - you might as well spend them looking at the finest products the British Empire ever chose to stamp out in wood, metal or composite.
PLUS you also get to avoid being a US Main - who usually struggle to tie their own shoelaces. RU Mains are like US Mains but lacking the second brain cell. IT Mains are all Sado-Masochists. FR Mains complain about all the other mains. The five JP Mains who have reached top tier without going moonhowlingly and completely bonkers mad. Swedish Mains are just GER Mains who can read a map. The one ISR main doesn’t get out much. CHN Mains are all weird. GER Mains are …well… words have yet to be invented to describe them.
TLDR
Use Brit tanks/planes and relish that warm fuzzy glow you get from having Moral, Historical and Intellectual Superiority over other all lesser trees.

Depends on the BR and the Map and the playstyle. Actually, from BRs 3 - 9 you can usually make it work with the vehicles you have. You’ve got fast armoured cars, SPAAs that are good TDs (Falcon), the Cromwells, the Centurions, Comet/Avenger/Challenger(ww2) - all good options that work in most situations. All backed up by good CAS aircraft and usually having lineups at most BRs.
Top tier is a crap-shoot. A total unbalanced mess. That isn’t specific to GB Top Tier.
Air is generally good across the board. Yes, the Phantoms are a struggle. No, Gaijin haven’t unbroken the Scimitar Rudder. However on the whole, most UK jets can be made to work … so long as you play them right. No dogfighting in a Tornado for example. The Props are good across the board - the Typhoons, Tempests, Spitfires all have really nice options - although the latest Spits keep getting bumped up in BR because the WT playerbase keep getting mullered by them.
Perform quite well - but again, depends on BR and the map. The Chieftain 10 with laser ranging and a dart round can be VERY dangerous on the right map. Or totally useless on a city one.
As far as sniping generally - pretty solid. From the moment you get the 17 pounder quite early on the Firefly - you then get 20 pounder - L7 105 and then the big 120mms. All very powerful, all have good ammo and avoid the typical stock HEAT grind as well. That last point is a big bonus.
US gets APHE early on but has to wait until several BR brackets later before getting fully-stabilised guns. An M48 vs Centurion is no contest. Most good US tanks usually have a Brit equivalent that is on a par or better if you are willing to lose a bit of mobility.
In the air - the US arguably has more toys to play with. You don’t have a UK-equivalent to the A-10 or F-14 for example. If variety is your thing then US Air might be a better bet. However - a US Phantom is not far off a UK Phantom, same for the Harriers, etc. Both get F/A-18s later on. EFA Typhoon is quite a bit superior to anything the US have at top tier.
