I just decided to write up a detailed suggestion about revamping Sim mission targets.

Ping me here or in PM when it’s up please.
It is just insulting that community managers don’t respond to sim topics even when pinged.
And when we do get a response…
"Hey, the a.i jets are literally violating physics by not losing any energy as they maneuver erratically, flying like dolphins while maintaining 1000 m/s making them impossible to intercept in early korean war/later WW2 jets and incredibly difficult even with sabres requiring you to redline your speed in a straight line to catch them.
They should be bleeding speed while doing this, and they shouldn’t fly like dolphins in the first place."

Gaijin:
“Physics breaking is not a bug. Make a suggestion.”
(already got 4 suggestions sitting in queue for probably months unapproved…)
They are just making fun of players, new roadmap was out of a crisis situation and I can’t imagine what state the game would be in if it was not for what caused the roadmap
This is so infuriating. Just yesterday we almost lost because we were unable to take down the last 3 F-86 dolphining at mach 0.9 around our naval convoy.
Or when the fastest plane in your lobby can’t catch the bombers running at mach 1.5. I literally redlined my F-15C once and still was unable to catch the F-104 AI lol.
Or when the convoy SPAA snipes your pilot going mach 1.2 above some 3km above them.
How long have they ignored SB other than the blanket nerfs from time to time?
They don’t care unless…
reduce the resolution to 1280x1024
also SOME sort of autopilot, A ton of gen 3s would be MUCH more fun to play if they had some form of altitude hold at least. a ton of early TV guided munition are essentially unusable in sim unless your plane has sight stabilization-
Trim your plane
Why?
I’ve only flown F3H and F8U-2 for more modern planes, but isn’t SAS mode: Autolevel effectively this?
I’ve slapped it on when limping back to the airfield and the plane flew without any babysitting necessary after pointing her in the right direction.
And yeah, beforehand trimming can achieve the same if you’re at constant velocity and attitude (gotta retrim otherwise).
Rarely working if you have SAS on.
please allow us to remove the scope on many planes
they get in the way of aiming because when you zoom in while looking forward, you switch to scope view
“In VR you don’t see the RWR circle when looking forward, so you miss a lot of pings, as they disappear faster than you can turn your head.”
To see the RWR.
Need windowed mode too.
I would prefer the VR have an overlay which followed the head (like the HMDs do) - that would be a nice QOL update for sim (and all other modes, though VR is mostly only useful in sim).
you think they used trim to fire their eraly tv guided weapons?
Why not? Trimmers are the second control. They often placed on pilot’s flightstick top, to “finetune” with a thumb.
This is MiG-21 stick for example:
To be fair, it also had automatic alignment to the horizon (big black button on the right).
This is Su-27 stick:
mig 21 has a few BETTER ways to insure a still flight like you said. they wouldnt use trim. and much the same for basically every other aircraft of its time. especially single seaters.
So, why many of them had and have big trim controls among other stick buttons? For fun?
