Italy, by far… and even if the Arietes got fixed in every way they possibly could, not much would really change.
The only thing that may be able to help Italy is Leopard 2A7HU, but even then, it’s just one tank. Fixed Arietes + fixed WAR kits for them (at least for Ariete, Ariete AMV and a future C2 Ariete) would make them be able to withstand 3BM60 on the turret cheeks, so that would also help a bit to some degree, but… that would be it.
gaijin could at least downtier the arietes to like 11.0 where they belong but they don’t even do that
Or increase their rate of fire, as they did with the Abrams (along with all the armor fixes that would make them capable of withstanding 3BM60 on their cheeks with WAR kit).
Downtiering them to 11.0 wouldn’t do much either, since they would just keep being uptiered to 11.7 anyway hahah
there are a lot of 11.0 prems now and 2-3 more coming in the next patch. I think it has a good matchmaker
Italy itself also planning to buy Leopard2A8, potantiel Ariete with Centauro B2 turret and Centauro 2 will boost their top tier line-up quite well.
Not to mention Hungary is planning to order KF51 which is another bonus.

Maybe yes, maybe no, we should wait and see. For example, previous year Romania wanted to buy Abrams, but now is looking for other options, such as K-2. I won’t be so sure about plans.

It would allow the arietes do fight T-72AV TURMS-T again which would already be a massive improvement
Trust me,here the negotiations are considered done. There are no available options,since the C2 Ariete program has the funds for only a portion of the 200 C1 Ariete in service.
The Leclerc?the actual government is not too sympathetic with the French,so it is not an option
The Abrams?too expensive for us
The Challenger? We’re not interested,MAYBE the Challenger 3 but that tank still needs to be put into service in the UK.
The only available option is the Leopard 2,so the plans are signed.
