The US and Russia have always had two teams in the ARB. Therefore, even if a very powerful aircraft comes from these two countries, it cannot absolutely dominate like the Rafale has done because it will always have to compete with itself.
This would be like saying if the F-22 came into the game with AIM-120D and AIM-9X while nothing changed for everyone else, then it cannot absolutely dominate because it would have to compete with itself.
I don’t think the su30sm2 is as good as the rafale. The micas just carry the rafale because they are considerably harder to notch and are the fastest missiles at dangerous ranges, on top of the rafale having crazy good kinematics and turn performance even at altitude.
SM2 is definitely on par with the Rafale at the moment. However, any team with the Rafale still has a significant advantage because they have two OP aircraft in the same team.
I have more consistent results with the rafale because not only it has the best missiles, but a very good defensive capability. The main weakness of the su-30sm is the lack of countermeasures, I need to be very efficient with them and try to use like 2 or 3 chaff per missile
I shot down more Rafales with SM2 than with SM, but over 50% of my deaths with SM2 were due to MICA. I always carried 6 R27ERs when the enemy had French, and I always saved them for the Rafale =)) If there were no French , I only carried the R-77-1.
I’m not saying it won’t be formidable. However, it will never become so dominant that it’s unrivaled like the Rafale. Even now, any team that has the Rafale will have a huge advantage.

They could add the F-22 right now with aim120d and the Rafale would still be more meta, unless they buff the seekers of the other missiles
I’m imagining how bad things would get if Gaijin decided to use MICA seekers for the Meteor missile and other new missiles in the future. Honestly, this is what worries me most about the future. ARBs would be extremely difficult to play.
It wouldn’t be much worse than facing a mica, because you would have around 16-20km warning anyway. Only if they make missiles considerably more notch resistant than even the mica

I didnt mention a specific firing condition, I only said that the missile has a questionable, arbitrary advantage that makes it perform much better than others
