I tested the new FMs and the su-27 almost acts like it has thrust vectoring at stall speeds, the rudder and elevators seem to have arcade levels of lift/control at slow speeds.
The fact that the Flanker now has Gripen levels of sustained turn is also a bit ridiculous, regardless of speed, they share very similar turn rates on a clean configuration.
So not only does it have weirdly high sustained turn capabilities, surpassing F-16s, but low speed control is way too arcadey.
They are also overperforming at top speed, and according to some people I talked with, they are overperforming in engine thrust to compensate for the previous (badly?) modeled FM to reach the desired energy retention.
The Su30MKM used to bleed speed at high alt but now I can turn at mach 1.4 and maintain my speed. The buff is insane. I honestly felt like I was flying arcade in realistic. And I see su30sm2 dominating every match with its insane radar and better engines. Now I feel like the Su30SM2 has knocked the Rafale off its pedestal. Gaijin for some reason can’t find a way to balance top tier air, just make one plane the best every patch.
Yes, especially in high speed sustained turn rate. For some reason gaijin can’t accurately model it, however it was nerfed slightly compared to yesterday.
My clean J-11B was able to sustain a 6g turn at Mach 2.1 yesterday.
The way Gaijin modeled that lift buff makes the controls arcade-like. The su27 at stall speed maneuvers still has rudder and elevators authority to the point that it feels like thrust vectoring
One thing is buffing overall wing lift at like 150-400kph. Another thing is making rudders and elevators magically have decent control with little to no airflow at 50-100kph maneuvers. Only thrust vectoring jets can do that, and that’s because the engine nozzles are directing most of the control
Flankers in general are severely over performing in top speed, I put out a report for the su-30mki variants, and sudo put out reports for basically every single other variant of flankers that exist. They currently go around 140 kph above their structual limit at sea level, and the su-30mki variants for some reason are able to go above mach 2 when they should be limited to mach 1.9 in level flight, and mach 2 rip speed.
And lets not even talk about how overperforming the su-34 is.
Actually now that i think about it, ever since the AoA button implementation, flanker’s rudder control actually became quite mediocre , It felt much snappy and responsive before it
Either way, what you describe i think Is a great exaggeration and even then it’s not exclusive to the flanker, but F16, J10, rafale etc can all pretty much do it
