Are Silver Lion rewards too low for non-premium players?

I’ve been thinking about the Silver Lion economy in War Thunder, especially for players who don’t have a premium account.

In my opinion, earning Silver Lions without premium can feel unnecessarily slow, especially at higher Battle Ratings.

Even if you have a decent match, the amount of SL you actually earn doesn’t always feel rewarding when you consider repair costs, ammunition, crew training and the prices of new vehicles.

I understand that premium accounts are supposed to make progression faster, and I have no problem with that. However, I don’t think playing without premium should feel like such a disadvantage when it comes to earning SL.

I’m not suggesting that Gaijin should remove the benefits of premium accounts. I just think the base SL rewards could use an increase, particularly at higher ranks.

Players should be able to make reasonable progress without feeling pressured to purchase premium time.

It is system designed to frustrate the player enough to spill out his/her entire wallet. You gotta remember that Gaijin wanted to make the grind even worse than it is rn.

F2P means you get a decent trial period at the beginning stages of the game. After tiers 3/4, expect to pay atleast for a premium account to get good progression.

The good news is that the birthday sale coming in November will allow you to buy premium at a 50% discount.

I have had some pretty good games in 10.7 with leo 2A4, 10 kills or so and i could only manage to get around 50-60k SL with no premium account.

As a completely f2p player, I never had any problems with SL. It’s always the RP that’s the problem.

Bomber buff + Event Vehicle (SB-25J) = Lots of SL even as a F2P player
If they are too low, you can always try hassle for GE. I’ve gotten a few bushes and the SAV just by writing some WT articles

I have to grind a 300k RP Abrams getting 1k RP per game so I just got the squadron SA at that point lol we have not much rewards we need more for ground even AA can get better rewards than a bad tank game

After frequently playing OP ships with the 300% RP boosters you get from assault mode and easily making 10k+ RP with no premium, tank grinding feels especially slow.

Im starting to struggle to get more than a million in a span of 2 days. Before it was easier. Well not like B-52 rewards are good even with 8 bases destroyed.

And now we are getting more and new vehicles that cost more than a million

But surely you need more than 2 days to grind the RP for those vehicles, right? Which are ~400k RP?
