Are shells broken or something?

It was not a guaranteed kill. Just a very likely one going by protection analysis.

All I know is I have 10x the amount of battles in the M4 than you and I would not have taken that shot.

I don’t know why you’re all arguing. First off the pen calculator in hangar has never been reliable. Second you just shouldn’t have taken that shot based on looks alone; relying on the unreliable calculator isn’t helping your case. I’d never have taken that shot. That bounce was expected and believable, never-mind what the calculator in hangar says.

I’m sure you wouldn’t have.

You’re straight lying because you have the benefit of hindsight. You take shots far worse than that on the regular and get away with it. This was a case of extremely bad luck. Stop pretending you wouldn’t take a killshot on a tank because there’s a 15% chance it will bounce. Insanity.

You really have no idea what you are talking about, and you come across a little silly. It was a bad shot, hindsight has zero to do with, hangar pen calculator was never reliable, and you’re making too much of very little. That’s really all there is. You should move on.

The only person coming across as silly is the person saying they wouldn’t take a killshot based on a 15% chance ricochet where, had they not taken the shot, be in a much worse position.

We dug into it, found out it was an incredibly low probability of ricochet, and that it ricocheted anyway. Solved. It was bad luck. Pretending you only take shots that have a 100%+ chance of penetrating just so you can perch yourself on a high horse is quite sad.

You can repeat this all you like.

I really mean you should move on. People with more experience than you would not have taken that shot. Arguing ad nauseum won’t change reality.

Ammo rack, failed detonation = turret compartment completely destroyed.

I moved on a while ago mate, you came in on your high horse looking for the first opportunity to flaunt your superiority over someone because you ‘wouldn’t have taken that shot’, then proceed to make ‘I’m better, you’re worse’ your only argument. Ad hominem meets ad nauseum ;)

Armor and shells are always broken in some way, partially because the complicated physics engine and partially because gaijin is lazy and cuts corners

clearly you have not, “mate.”

It was a poorly chosen shot. Pen calculator doesn’t vindicate you. It’s been known to be unreliable since the day it was instituted. Again, something else people with more experience than you know.

Over half an hour since the topic went quite and was resolved. Then in you came. Do you expect to make a veiled insult to someone and have them not reply? I’m sure that’s easier for you, but don’t act like I’m tying myself in knots over something I put to bed half an hour before you came in.

Answer this question: do you refuse to take shots that would result in a kill if there is a 15% chance of a ricochet?

I would not have taken THAT shot because I would not expect THAT shot to pen at all, let alone kill.

You need to stop.

Right, so you answered my question in way more words than you needed to: the short answer was no. You would not take a shot if it has a 15% chance of bouncing.

That’s all I needed to know before I stopped replying. It speaks for itself. Enjoy your evening.

You are full of rhetorical fallacies and “clever wordplay,” that only serve as a veneer over a lack of actual substance.

You took a bad shot. A bad shot people with more experience than you would not have taken. Mate.

Are you typing a fkin novel “mate?”

It was a bad shot, poorly decided upon. End of. I’m done in this thread now.

It doesn’t matter how many big words you try to throw in to the word salad, it boils down to this:

You said you wouldn’t take the shot, because it would not have penned.

The shot did not pen only because a 15% chance of ricochet was actualised, and the shell bounced.

Had probability been in my favour, which at 85% is a completely normal assumption to make, it would have detonated ammo or, failing that, took out his turret compartment entirely allowing for a follow-up shot.

Your entire argument, no matter how desperately you try to hide it behind veiled denigration, is that you would never have taken a shot like that because it had a 15% chance of bouncing.

I don’t know what more you expect? That’s all you’ve been saying this entire time, under the guise of ‘being better’ and ‘more experienced’. You can’t honestly expect anyone to believe you.

Sorry didn’t mean to overestimate your intelligence “mate.”

What’s your bachelor degree in ‘mate’?

None. My career stems from military service. I’m a Veteran. Any more irrelevant questions “mate?”

Still angry over “big words?”

No mate, just waiting for you to respond with actual substance to what you decided to ignore.

Who is angry? Bit of a hyperbole don’t you think? It’s usually the sign of a sinking ship(or argument in this case).
