I’ve given the only valid response, numerous times.
You chose a poor shot, and got an expected result. That’s all there is. Anything beyond that is you being petulant over a video game.

You seem a little angry “mate.”
The writing is on the wall. People can make their own conclusion, and I think I know which.
Now now, you started with the sarcasm and hyperboles… I’m just responding. I’m three minutes off exiting my fasting window, couldn’t be happier. How about you?
Please stop embarrassing yourself. What you think is wit is really just cringey. The second-hand embarrassment I am feeling for you is a bit much.
My sweet summer child
(gaijin says reply can’t be empty)
You’re not “winning.” What you are doing, however, is projecting hard. These aren’t gotchas you are posting now; these are your own insecurities projected on to me as a defense.
You took a bad shot. You can’t accept the truth. You won’t stop arguing because you can’t accept the truth. Your own ego does not allow it.
Yes, you are sinking. Good job.
Dude edited his post 3 times 😂
I’m feeling the second hand embarassment now so I will leave you alone to edit or reply or whatever in peace.
Oh so you’re leaving then. Ok bye.
I’ve bounced M103 120mm AP off the paper front plate of the DF105 recently so something is silly lately…that shell should overmatch that armor at any angle I would think?
My 120mm, 300mm pen solid-shot Foch round got absorbed by the turret ring of a Leopard 1 at like 500m yesterday. Something aint right
Overmatch starts when the shell is 1.3x larger than the armor’s thickness.
The larger it is, the more it igbores the angle of impact. It will not reach “0% chance to bounce regardless of angle” until the shell is 7x larger.
Well, that’s been happening for years, like when a sight stops the bullet damage, or when a single crew member absorbs all the damage. For example, it’s extremely common for the driver of the T-54 and T-55 family to completely stop the HEAT damage from the 105mm cannon, causing him to kill you immediately, when the logical and normal thing is for the damage to go through the driver, then the shooter and then the commander, being instant death, but apparently gaijin doesn’t like that, that’s why they add those types of glitches.
Good to know, thanks. I think the plate is like 30mm 😅
That’s the silliness of how Gaijin calculates armor, not the silliness of the round. You probably hit a very shallow almost level-flat section, or hit where two sections come together (either visibly or not) and the game just goes “nope.” That’s armor side, not shell side. Not disagreeing with you that there’s nonsense involved however.
