ARB Rank 7 (11.3 - 11.7 and up) need stock radar missiles

Hi everyone, just wanted to bring something forward that i have noticed is a teething issue in ARB.

Stock grinding any 11.7 is so bad you’re better of watching paint dry. Constant uptiers against Swiss F18C With 14.0 worthy raw dogfighting performance at 12.7 facing off against Mig23s and F4s. Every match is an uptier and all you can do is play lawnmower simulator or drink some seawater (hugging the ground) and get behind people crossing your fingers they dont 1 flare your Aim9E/G or R60/R13M1 or other equivalents. Thats not even mentioning the dogfighting aspect of things.

The solution I’d like to bring forward?

First off decompression is needed and with a max BR of at least 16.0, and give all rank 7 planes 2 of their “worst” radar missiles to give them something to fight with.

If anyone feels the same or would like to add too this feel free, I checked with a quick search and didnt find much on this topic, so figured I would start one.

Should Rank 7 jets get acces to a pair of their SARH or ARH missiles

  • Yes
  • No
  • Decompression alone would fix it

Funny that the f4j phatmom only has 2 9ds stock

Agreed. Never made sense to me why something like the F3 only has 2x Aim-9L stock when its an SARH truck

Playing the British Phantom FGr2 which has the same, but I’ve also seen the issue on others in even lower BRs with AIM9Es and their equivalents

Ah yes, the world famous swiss F-18C.

Oh sorry did I get it wrong ;-;

the differences between engine performance of early and late F-18Cs are marginal

And with exception of the TT swiss one, they all turn the same (with the TT swiss one turning ever so slightly better) (assuming I managed to select the correct premium swiss F-18Cs).

So I was just wondering why explicitly mention swiss ones when theres no practical difference to the other 12.7 Hornets.

After checking they had the same wet thrust as the 14.0 F18C late variants, with the only reason for their placement being ordinance, The biggest issue with the F18A as far as I was aware was the lack luster thrust compared to the competition, but maybe I missed something

differences are minor (swiss hornet having 120x CMs as opposed to 60x, slightly more powerful engines while being 500kg heavier etc.) , they all play the same.

Phatmom had me ROTFL. But yeah I’m thinking the best way to stock grind it is by using cannon to ground pound howitzers.

No stock radar missiles

STOCK CHAFF and lots of decompression of course

Mirage F1C with R.550 Magic 1
or
Kfir C.7 with Shafrir 2

fight against
F/A-18A armed with a Pair of AIM-7M and AIM-9L is a kinda of war crime. :/

(I mean, I brought stock loadout to compare)

We need all three of
-Stock loadout improvement
-Stock Chaff
-Decompression.

Erm… weren’t Tonka F.3 stayed Rank 8 for a long time
and Got 2x Skyflash(DF) when we had Rank 8 stock improvement…?

I think, maybe F-4K/M with 9D or SHAR FRS.1 with 9G would fit more, for example.

But I understood your example because it was total outrage when I flew Tonka F.3 Late (when it was 13.3BR) armed with two AIM-9L and forced to dogfight with spaded F-15C in 13.7BR. :/

hmm… Back when I did it, they did not have that and I wasnt under the impression that had been done. But checking, there is a loadout for 2x Skyflash DFs. So you could very well be right.

Yeah, I did most of the FA2 with just a pair of 9Ls as my stock loadout. That was not fun.

The rank 7 Phantoms though 100% yes. Why they get neither better IR or 2x Aim-7Es stock at 12.0 is beyond me

This company isn’t interested in making the grind easier. If people are willing to pay real money for modules to avoid the torture of unlocking them, the company will continue with this tactic

It definitely would help with stock chaff, but what are you going to attack with? I wholeheartedly agree with stock chaff but its not going to help you kill anything directly.

I think decompression could fix like 70 - 80% of the issues in game right now, this one quite possibly being one of them.

I like to see the bad missile loadout as when youre learning the airframes strengths rather than relying on missiles. Training you up to be better once you have the optimal weapons

That’s a fair take tbh, I can respect that. If only it weren’t for compression and it’s constant uptiers, I don’t get a lot of opportunities to learn the plane when I have to constantly hit the deck or dogfight objectively better fighters, to only inevitably lose unless they mess up big time.
