I came to War Thunder for the planes (even though i played tanks years ago before planes).
After reaching jets in 3 nations I find CAS in GRB boaring compared to ARB. This may be due to the Battle area and number of planes in the air being so small.
I only started playing tanks to see what all the fuss was about in the forum, but now i actully enjoy tanks and have no intrest in CAS at all.
Does anyone else feel the same?
I dont get any pleasure in destroying a players tank in GRB anymore than AI on the ground in ARB and find it actully pointless. I mean there cant be any skill in attaking a static target that dont fight back

What most players forget is on one hand that AA exists and on the other that there are two nations that have exceedingly good/broken CAS due to excellent choice of secondary armament while the primary armament is also already good at CAS. Not to mention in the recent years of WT it has become far easier to cry something into oblivion than actually learning to deal with said issue.

For me, GRB is exactly what I need. As a fighter pilot, I actually have the feeling that I can make a difference when I knock enemy aircraft out of the sky.
I don’t focus so much on what’s happening on the ground. There are currently a lot of good SPAA players around rank 3 to 4 who can make life very difficult for you. Unless the opponent gives me the space to do so. Then I usually use my fighter to spot enemies with machine gun fire.
I don’t feel so comfortable in ARB because every mistake means the end of the match and I can’t spawn again. Fighting ground targets in ARB would require a team you can rely on … I don’t think you need to spend a long time discussing who takes care of the other and how much.
