Approximately 245 days to finish US Air Rank VI

Hi mate!

Hope you are doing well!

Tbh - i miss such threads (more like a blog):

But as in the old forum - the new forum provides more or less the same answers:

  • Your way to your desired goal is only determined by your willingness to use the optimal path. So like 2 years ago recommended by me and others - Air AB is not the best way to grind. The reasons are obvious.

I got your approach to prove that casual players might take ages to complete a singe Air TT - but imho you don’t consider that researching a Ground TT is even harder - also due to obvious reasons.

  • You lost me with the phrase “finishing in 5 years” - imho you are talking about a single Air TT as “really finishing” the whole game (Air, Ground, Naval) is not possible with you current approach.

  • Search yt for wt speed grind - u will find a vid showing a guy doing 0 to Top Tier in 38 hours - just by buying a premium 104 and skillful gameplay combined with stupid base bombing.

I mean the game is designed to get players addicted (literally and in the broader sense) and to earn as much as possible in the shortest time frame possible - a casual and mature player investing an hour a day is no cash-cow and not the target group for wt.

All in all - have a good one!

if you just check your entire China ground, you have a lot of 100k+ earners one on 750 one on 500k and one 250k earner at rank 6.

if you check his, he has one 750k two 100k and the rest are basically at or below 70k with a steep decline in earnings.

also look at the number of played games you have and compare to his.

Just repair it and keep going. Another reason it took you so long. If you ever run low on SL, go back and bomb some bases with the JU-288c. You won’t make progress every by not repairing vehicles.

Yeah, in 2013 to late 2018 I barely played the game. My maximum tech tree BR in late 2018 was 7.X with Britain, specifically it was the Centurion Mk3 and nothing above it.
Late 2018 I tried to use Amazon Pay for premium and it worked, so I became active then.

As for achievements… 50 vehicles is nothing, each tech tree besides Israel has hundreds.
Here’s evidence of air being completed [duplicate vehicles/unwanted vehicles are omitted; I’m not gonna say everyone needs every copy-paste or every vehicle they hate in order to feel like they’ve completed a tech tree].

As you can see, there’s only three nice to have vehicles left for me to finish. The rest are duplicates. And Viggen D is a C with 9Ls and more flares.

Stat-card RP is base RP of the vehicle before the vehicle modifiers and before post-battle modifiers as well.

I’ve only spent money on premium account time, and unique premiums. That’s it.
The exclusive vehicle I GE’d was the American Kiowa to start research on the Blackhawk faster, which isn’t the “air” tree, but the helicopter tree, of which I only completed Japan.

It does matter, Air RB doesn’t have respawns so actions are worth more than game modes with respawns.

Still compare the B-25 and J-7D RP earnings in terms of battles played and one being premium and other not. How does non premium bomber shows nearly same amount of RP gained in 40 games than premium jet with K/D over 1.5 and 300 games. Like that is the actual issue. The displayed RP are wrong, sure there were games where i did nothing in J-7 and just died, but then there were also games where i got 50k RP, on average i got like 10-15k RP per game with it.

I appreciate that, but I thought I would get better over time since that was suggested. I didn’t last long enough in Air RB.

It cant get any less brain afk.

The game is a financial management simulator as much as it is a plane simulator. If your repair costs are above a certain percentage of your earnings it is better to wait it out. Now for the grind prior to today I would immediately repair some days if I hadn’t dropped into negative SL territory. Every fraction of a decimal of SL has to be saved for top tier.

Wait for sale and buy year of prem acc, if you go negative, you stay at 0 with it, your SL wont ever go negative with it since it got changed in roadmap,

Also some examples of vehicles I spaded and stopped playing instantly:

The last time I GE’d a modification was 2020? with the F3H-2 cause I didn’t want to learn to be a better pilot and wanted to know what the AIM-7Cs were like.

JU-288 money goes for German vehicles.

The same thing was said about the F-5C. I’m not wasting money on premium jets anymore.

Ye but with F-5C you kill planes, with Phantom you just rocket bases and launch sparrows into face of ppl.

Look man, I’ve done nothing but try to optimize your efficiency because it is absolutely horrible. You can research every vehicle in the tree and wait until summer for the SL sales if you want. If you want to make it to those vehicles to be able to buy them, you’ll have to play the B-57 more than 1 game every 11 days. You have one of the best premium aircraft to grind SL with, the Ju-288C. Use it to get 1m-2m sl, and the grind with the B-57. Repair costs are lower now due to the time alive effecting the repair costs so they aren’t even that bad anymore.

By all means, don’t take my advice, it’s on you what you want to do. Don’t make an excuse for absolutely every thing that someone suggests. It makes me not want to help you when you try to make up a huge reason for not doing it. You’ll never reach rank 8 if you don’t take the advice.

Ju-288C money should go to every nation because it earns it so easily…

Hello!
I started the Italian techtree sometime in November 2023, decided to see how my skills have improved after 500 hours of play. It took me roughly 3 months to get to F-16ADF and probably a 100 hours(not sure since I work a lot and play other modes). Granted, I have a premium account and Ariete, which I aced during the grind.

So I would say if you have the money and do not care for rank 5-6, then skipping them with a rank 5-6 premium is definetely worth it. As for the Air RB being difficult or not being used to it, yes, it takes a long time to learn. But it still gives A LOT of RP for something very mundane, for example, two kills and a base:

And it’s a Tornado, an absolute brick of a plane. So I would say if you do not want to spend money, then learning RB is the way to go.

I have premium. The problem with that is you still have earned nothing. I’d rather earn something and die than end up with zero.

And I get it, and I’ll try it. I just don’t think it is going to be the fix for me the way you think it is because I’m not you. It still shouldn’t take that long to advance in AB if people enjoy AB more than RB. I started in AB in 2013 so that is what I’m used to.

You have to look at the difference in the game mode to see why RB gets more rewards. You get 1 chance to make things happen, not up to 10 like in Arcade. Different levels of risk, for different levels of reward. Add in the lead indicator and such, then it makes complete sense RB gets more rewards.

This made me remember something and chuckle:

Compared to older players the newer ones are spoiled; you have it way easier now
