They should also be a bit different since IT-ECR were made from IDS fleet.
I also hope that we will eventually get air force designations for Italian Tornadoes like EA-200B and EA-200D for ECR variants for example.

No, it should not get any rwr warning as it’s not tracking your aircraft with its radar(ARH) not following a target tracked from its launch aircraft (SARH). It is tracking-going after your own aircrafts radar emissions, so it is tracking you passively and as such should not give you any kind of rwr warning. But, it should be picked up by your aircrafts missile approach warning, if you have an aircraft equipped with such a system. At list this is my belief, I could be wrong and I would be thankful for any and all corrections.

Is it planned for the Rafale to receive this ESM mechanic even though it doesn’t carry any ARMs? This ESM mechanic would allow for it to still locate SAM positions.

Rafale’s RWR should be able to create sensor point-of-interest // Gaijin.net // Issues

I think this case is that kh31 is the least disruptive means of testing it. Americans would revolt if the first test case was meteor.

Id almost say the first test case shouldve been the ASM-3, cause ASM who cares. But ik that if gaijin did that the first thing id do is report it to track aircraft cause its seeker is derived from the AAM-4B’s and it would be all over…

(Also to bring the ASM-3 to be more relevant to this discussion, it can be used in an ARM role gaijin! Would be very cool to add if you ignore the concerning bit i just mentioned).

Kh-31A is also an ASM you know

as if the US will be the only nation in the game without access to meteors??

Is the ESM already ready to be tested in Dev?

Tried to test it with US F/A-18C Early and HARM’s today, but couldn’t get it to work…

How does it work? Simply select the ARM and radar screen changes into ESM screen? Or how does one get the ESM screen?

it works on the Su-39, from what I’ve tried.

Are there plans for ROCKS ARM to be added for the F-16I?

Shh, you’ll awaken the “muh F-35 must have meteors” crowd 😂

There is a bind “Change radar set” then the ESM box appears and then you can operate with regular radar binds like cycle target, lock radar target. Slaving the seeker to ESM is a bit finnicky, you need to try some combination of locking with ARM and locking target on radar(ESM).

Also the HARM as sensor is a bit anemic, better to try something like the spo150 ESM or AN/ASQ -213, scan rate much faster.

Given ESM can detect airborne radars, it would be nice to be able to loose ARMs at them. It would be amusing to down people with a frogfoot.
