if u know Japans F2A and F2A ADTW will recieve ARMs or no cause last time i checked neither had them
So, japan doesn’t operate any discrete ARMs, however the ASM-3 and variants are capable of being used in an ARM role. Although exact information regarding this is a bit fuzzy, it appears it does so datalink help from the F-2’s sensors.
As much as i hope the ASM-3 is coming to game, as i said earlier, it probably shouldn’t, just because of the possibility of lobbing it against planes from 300km away; since gaijin’s standards for missile targetting could allow for that.
Now that’s quite sobering: ESM screen is not available for all ARM carriers, so in SIM you’ll still be completely blind as to where you aim and what you fire at…
And furthermore I have found that in Sim the ESM is bugged: The scan flickers and it doesn’t lock the target you selected, but another one arbitrarily.
Please see here: Community Bug Reporting System
Also, is the horizontal and vertical scan range realistic? Seems to be quite small…
if gaijin adds it in both ARM and EO(same seeker as spice) versions ill beincredibly happy
it can carry up to 4 pretty dope
So as it currently stands only Russian RWRs have ESM. Wow at least give SPECTRA or DASS ESM…
just like irl?
Everyone: WOW!!! Anti Radiation Missile!!!
Meanwhile Japan air tech tree: What is Anti Radiation Missile?
Japan should atleast still get ESM, hopefully more planes will get actual native ESM without needing ARMs in future dev servers.
It’s a good thing Japan gets su-30s
