That planes you mentioned are mostly fighters like f8 mig21 j7 f1c f5c . Mig 23,kifir and f104 are much faster than f4.

These are not exactly top tier planes.

However, I also bomb in top tier. The Eurofighter is very fast even with 6000lbs of bombs.

Played 11.0 saw one ej with Rockets but f104 and tornado was faster.

Harder to rocket and bomb bases due to mountains.

Don’t blame people for working out a way how to grind easier.
Blame Gaijin though, as they after all these years still haven’t put a limitation to like 3-4 ground pounders per team.

This is what happens when the devs are afraid to put hard limitations because of “muh players being upset/backlash” or queue times.

Your sacrificing performance, position and opportunity to bomb in Crusaders. It’s an amazing plane to third party distracted enemies and to head-on snipe people with radars. If you’re rushing to bomb a base, you lose out on all of those opportunities and get focused down instead by enemy crusaders.

It’s a game of preferences.

I carried the Aim-9C SARHs, which are pulse based missiles. Against even the CW seeker Aim-7Es, carried by F-4EJs, would put me in a severe disadvantage. My missile could be defeated with a single pop of chaff, while I will need to notch his 7E.

The 7E-2 and R-24Rs are vastly improved missiles that I also faced. If he is above me, it will activate his MTI mode, which is game over for me.

As a result, I play mostly on the ground level, being immune to R-24R (multipathing) and Aim-7E (the ground clutter will make it much harder for the carrier to lock in first place) where raw flight performance such as climbing rate, are not as important to me. I would go to a base, bomb, and then shoot whos not multipathing.

At this BR range base bombing is useless for the battle.
It’s only egoistic, gaining personal ressources and it’s weakening the team.

If you know air battle basics, you don’t bomb at this BR.
Nobody is forced to grind. Play the game, get better, win more battles, earn more rewards.

It’s egoistic to grind the TT in your premium that’s specifically made for that.

The thing is , ML radar even before the nerf is piss ass. This just show us that you didn’t bother to learn or even to try defeat these missiles. You skipped everything and went straight to the easiest way for short term gain. If at 10.7~12.0 you can’t defeat these missile when they are at their lowest. How on earth your teammate gonna expect you to defeat ARAAM or AIM-7M , doesn’t even need to be 27ER in your case

I never said I couldn’t dodge them. I simply said I’m at a severe disadvantage.

Defeating a pulse missile require a pop of chaff

Defeating a CW missile require notching

That’s all there is to it.

Think about how much more energy you lose defeating a CW seeker vs a pulse one. All that leaves you vulnerable to a third party etc.

But the phase “which is game over for me” suggest other wise. But sure , if you want it that way. But it still doesn’t change the fact that those missile that you listed can be defeated at ease. You still try to base bomb instead of dogfighting in an air supremacy fighter.

I still fight while bombing/after bombing. Pure bombing would be extremely inefficient for grinding.

Base bombing simply gives better rewards.

I mostly focused on PVP in the M1C. (most of the times bases are taken)
I bombed before fighting in the MiG-21BIS.

The average player gets 0.654 player kills per battle; not offcial data, but pretty believable. While I don’t have a issue with SL, one can imagine the average player with 0.654 KB, with a tech tree jet, struggle to break even SL by the time of unlock of a vehicle; this is before expert crews.

It won’t change much.

If you replace all zombers tomorrow with elite pilots, the win rates would stay more or less the same. It’s just how statistics work.

can’t rely on a zomber when we get left in a 2v2 at the end.
