As we all know, many premium vehicles—especially aircraft—are captured versions from other nations’ tech trees or appear due to Lend-Lease and similar reasons. However, some vehicles, particularly planes introduced in earlier years, often sit at the same Battle Rating as their original counterparts but have inferior performance configurations (such as armament, modifications, etc.). Since the previous major update, when the developers gave the Su-30 in the Japanese tech tree Kh-38 missiles based on the rationale of “if it can carry them in real life, then it should be allowed,” I wonder whether this presents an opportunity to restore some missing features to older propeller aircraft, especially those purchased with Golden Eagles.
For example:
The Soviet P-39 and P-63 series cannot select ammunition belts for their 37 mm M4 cannon.
The German captured Tempest Mk V does not have access to 150-octane fuel.
These aircraft share the same Battle Rating as their counterparts but are stuck with worse loadouts. This is truly frustrating for players who want to buy these planes. Of course, this was the developers’ pursuit of historical accuracy in the early days, but War Thunder is ultimately a game. Today, can we fill these gaps and give these interesting aircraft the same configurations as their original versions?
