But that’s literally all CAS players post about. You’ve all outright admitted to not wanting a TO gamemode because that would remove your ability to have a power trip playing CAS. You’re not interested in people having fun, you just want ground players to be RP/SL balloons.

Current GRB wouldn’t be removed so no one would force you to play TO.

The concept of Tank-only gamemode is very subjective in my perspective of view, while some may want only and exclusively ground vehicles, it may be others that want the presence, yet very little of airplanes and helicopters to compensate people abusing of position or to help change the fate of a match.
Your idea of an dedicated community for such niche topic, in my perspective of view is impossible at the moment given how much people are opposite to each other’s opinions and this may also apply to such ‘direct to the point’ subject such as Tank-only gamemode.
And asking for the same people to mainly focus on Custom battles until this change is implemented is like saying to Sisyphus to keep rolling the sphere up the mountain again and again as this concept won’t be implemented, not at the moment when one of the core features of War Thunder is the participation of air vehicles and ground vehicles in the same match.

I get what you’re saying, but from my perspective of view sisyphus is already rolling the sphere up the mountain, and I’m suggesting he at least gets to listen to his iPod while he does it.
In other words, they are already embroiled in a futile struggle to get TO implemented, if there were dedicated TO custom lobbies they could at least get some TO gameplay experience in the meantime.
Stop making up things, and making villains of anyone who dares to disagree with you, or object to your desire for a seperate gamemode… We’re not bad people for bombing you, you’re a bad sport for being so hooked up on it that you make out it’s power tripping.
That’s not what they said, genuinely. They’re literally pointing out that you want to make everyone play like you, so much that you need another gamemode to make it ‘fair’.

Pale_Horse_Rider straight up said in another thread that he rather bomb players in GB than bots in AB, for seemingly no other reason than it’s “more fun”. It’s openly power tripping on people with no way for them to fight back against him.

In this case Sisyphus (Tank-only supporters) are asked to hold the sphere mid way up the mountain and hold there (gaining no rewards of going to Custom battles). As much as I agree that people should’ve joined together for this cause, I believe this window has already been closed, it’s somewhat possible but it will take much more time when compared to other stuff the community has ever done, and I’m not talking of some few weeks, but months to gather supporters.

Stop being so bitter and caught up on dying in a game where you expect to kill.

It is more fun to bomb players than bots because bots are predictable and boring. Its the same concept as its more fun to win a race in Mario Kart against your friends than it is to win a race against CPUs. It’s not a power trip to want to play with humans instead of computers.
The current course of action (making threads about it on the forums and getting mad at CAS players) isn’t getting them anywhere. It’s as if Sisyphus is at the bottom of mountain yelling at the sphere.
In that case there is no wisdom in delaying it. Months from now is sooner than months from tomorrow, no?

Its exactly that attitude that derails most CAS threads and answers like yours do nothing but make people want to bomb more.
There are loads of ways to rebalance CAS without making CAS worthless.

Now I need to update it after the coming major update, as MANY of the suggestions have actually come, though many more could still come. CAS has largely been nerfed at top tier already and is actually due a buff in some places.
Actually I think a lot of CAS could do with some buffs, such as adding CBUs, let alone a full rework of the SP system that could go a long way to rebalance a lot of aircraft, not just nerf, but buff in places too, Including making CAP a LOT cheaper
The reality that TOPs dont seem to really grasp, is that CAS is rarely all that strong. Its usually a specific nation, with a specific CAS aircraft being paired with the only nation(s) that have the necessary SPAA to counter it. Is the solution to remove all CAS or simply add better SPAA to all nations at that BR and re-adjust that specific aircraft?
Let alone the fact that many CAS aircraft, helis especially, dont actually have a decent gamemode outside of GRB currently. Id love for a gamemode with the kind of dynamic CAS engagements you get in GRB/GSB in either ARB or ASB, but unfortuantely, that doesnt exist currently and Gaijin seems to be making thsoe gamemodes worse for CAS and not better.

Time and time again peopel have mentioned that there isn’t nothing you can do to stop yourself being hit…
The fact it keeps going is just those who are having trouble so much so they need thier own mode to function, yet still keep playing the game anyway.
And they have been making changes to the game to make things a bit different in terms of game experience.
We’ve have been talking about this very issue for months on end now and most of us who aren’t CAS players have come to the conclusion that most CAS players will never be happy unless CAS is the be all end all of GB. CAS has not improved GB in anyway that’s meaningful to the experience and only serve to encourage players to focus on getting kills so they can spawn as CAS rather than playing the objective. Nobody wants to play the objective, nobody wants to make large team pushes, they just wanna sit in one spot of the map and ignore the rest of their team. Nobody wants to play the actual gamemode they’re choosing to play.
You must be fresh here…

I hope the servers that handle the forums get fried due to a power surge sometimes.
This is the kind of pent up aggression that a few matches in a Tank Only custom lobby might help you blow off.
Custom lobbies are filled with aimbotters, it’s all going down hill.
