Ammo Discussion

And we are not supporting separatists with that money in a certain country that i don’t want to name here…

Well BVM you should be hitting turret more than hull.
But on 80U & B3 yeah hull ammo is the primary weakspot.

Both charges and payloads have explosives in them for most kinds of (non solid) ammo

APFSDS on Challenger lacks explosives in the 2nd part.
But 3BM60 for example has charge that surrounds the dart.

Source file facts > the conspiracy theory you posted.

I’m not saying I believe or don’t believe any theory, but “It didn’t show up in a configuration file” doesn’t mean anything. If they DID want to put their thumb on the scales and bias Russian vehicles they wouldn’t just put it right in a public configuration file… they would put it in a private one, like:

Chance_to_explode = If(Russian) then ([number from public config] * [number from sekkrit config]) else ([number from public config])

the chance_to_explode is identical to other top tier tanks…

Your ammo is not exploding? My Cr2 charges are cooking like a fesh firewood dropped into industrial forge. Well, if someone hits me in the ammo.

the chance_to_explode is identical to other top tier tanks…

No, the PUBLIC CONFIG FILE value is identical to other top tier tanks.

Unless you work as a developer at Gaijin and are leaking information about their internal server code, you have no idea whether those values you see in the public config file are or are not used equally in the actual server code.

I’m not saying they DID include anything sneaky in the server code, I’m just saying that if they wanted to, you would have no idea. So this is a useless piece of information to cite.

Dataminers already provided proof.
There is no “private” part of the client, and the client is what determines explosion chance.

This is server code, they don’t allow the client to decide whether ammo exploded, lmao. “Uhhh yeah, my own shot totally exploded ammo 100% of the time. I just got really lucky with my local RNG you entrusted me with, Mr. Server, I swear, I pinky promise” --Love, Client

And yes there is a private part of the SERVER code.

Arents value the same both client and server side?

You have no way to know, unless you work at Gaijin

I do not do so. Still the 50% that CR2 has client side seems right to me

so your claims are completely groundless and based on speculation, what we know and can verify is that the code is identical to other top tier tanks

If they were going to enact a sneaky Pro Russian conspiracy, they would of course give you reasonable looking numbers that “seem right”

I didn’t claim anything other than “That observation is useless evidence”. I have no idea whether they are or are not biased toward any nation, in their own server code. Neither do you. You just have to take their word for it, unless you can think of a way to comprehensively gather evidence on otherwise controlled shots on tanks for thousands of datapoints in game to observe the actual outcome reliably.

what we know and can verify is that the code is identical to other top tier tanks

No you have no idea what the server code does. Since it’s not public.

Im not into all that russia bias comspiracy thing, but from all the time i played, it seems right, for me at least, that CR2 charges (and some time ago and sometimes even now penetrators (bug)) exploded around half the time i get hit into them

neither do you.

Again… I didn’t say I did. I just said that the type of evidence another commenter provided is useless.

“Your evidence is bad” =/= “I know the right answer”…

I never even took a POSITION on the answer at all.

you dont have any evidence to begin with… just pure speculation.
