Ammo crates dont add!

Except we do not have support vehicles in game. It is an ammunition crate you can “build” anywhere, even in the heat of battle where support vehicles would never be seen. It magically appears on the ground irrespective of the player vehicle’s ability to even carry that much ammunition.

I prefer to have a trailer behind the vehicle like the Churchill Crocodile. Carry ammo that way with some catch to bringing a trailer like decreased mobility or longer reloads.

Decreased mobility would make sense. but longer reloads?

I think what he may mean, is a longer ammunition resupply time compared to capture points.

Realistic explanation: At the capture point, there would be resupply personnel to help with the resupply of ammunition. But with a trailer at a random point in the map, your crew loads it themselves or something.

Ammo crates are really cool, I wish to see more buildable structures.

Yeah, I figure it would help the acceptance of the idea. That and it takes time to off load ammo from a trailer, maybe added some sense of realism.

Well that too. I would accept a longer reload for the sake of being able to avoid a already captured zone by the enemy team. Sometimes in SPAA you can’t get a chance to reload because a zone close to use is being camped or guarded well.

In my Warthunder lore head-canon, i can mentally rationale someone packing along a boxed store of additional munitions, more than the cap circle re-arming.

What we currently do is like some pagan ritual.

''Oh mighty C point, I enter thou perimeter to receive more boom sticks. I sacrifice myself to the magical aura of your giving circle, bestow upon me thine missiles, and i shall deliver righteous judgement to our enemies in good time ‘’

You have me confused. Are you meaning longer resupply or longer reload.

I guess for some vehicles, you could picture that. But for example, preview the Antelope, or any of the Gepard varieties, or just most SPAA in general. The ammunition is HUGE, and I just cannot accept it as War Thunder canon. At least in the capture points I could imagine an invisible supply crew moving up to the secured supply area and handing off ammunition to allied tanks.

for player how play tank in tank RB its a good think for cas player it’s a bad think sooooooo it’s a great add

No this is likely more or less something light vehicles can do and its still limited.

Especially milk truck SPAA.

Sure do love being near enemy tanks! I can’t even shoot in the direction I’m driving due to the cab.

I remember Gaijin developers said that they were proposing this mechanic for SPGs and SPAAs only, since they did not have special abilities like other classes.

Am i right in saying, people can drop these boxes for team mates to use? or is it solely for self use?

If it’s the former, I am incredibly excited to witness SPAA players type ‘‘i neeed more boooolettss’’ in chat whenever i drive past.

The only way your situation is logical is if the spawn point is the resupply point. Not an random location in the middle of the front line.

I suppose the resupply. Although both would make sense to me. I would not put too much concern, I just want to pull a trailer instead of dropping some crate.

As stated in dev blogs, it’s not for any one vehicle type. it will be on a case-by-case basis.

Right, like it’s easy to imagine they just have a crate of extra ammo sat in the back seat of the cab.

This mechanic sounds great, I’m all for it.

Nice compromise to all the people wanting a re-supply point in the spawn. It’s somewhat that but not unlimited.

I cannot wait for the ZA-35 to be uptiered 8.7-9.0 if the ZA-35 gets more ammo. It hurts for ammo so bad when AA, but not so for ground killing.

Resupply drops should be a thing, should they be done this way… That I am not really sure.
Ammo is something that can help a losing team not lose though.
Ammo Air Drop could be fun for Helis (Troop transport ones) to have.
Ammo Crate seems a little cheesy without much counterplay currently.
Trailers Suck, but could work kinda, would help slow down fast flanky TD/SPAA if they carry them, but also benefit slower TD/AAs.
Battlebusses (People carriers) that can drop off limited reloads to team members could also work depending.

Match times are bit too short for Fortification vehicles to be added, but would be nice additions, but could also benefit a team that has overwhelming advantage already.

What would be interesting is a list of vehicles they believe require this feature.
