I hate mixed matchmaker.
I hate fighting same vehicles I have (Sherman case for example). What´s the point grinding a specific nation when every nation has same vehicles?
I hate cold war IFV´s and LT´s in my WW2 ranks.
So no, don´t break the game more.
No more captured or evaluated foreign vehicles.
What I would like instead would be near finished indigenous paper designs.
They got those vehicles because gaijin groups nations based on ww2 era history. Same reason why the UK get common wealth vehicles.
The issue i see is that some people basically argue that “the vehicle is in X country therefore they should get it”. This would basically mean that vehicles in museums would be enough to add to that nation’s tree.
If a nation/nation group had the vehicle in service, they should get. I would exclude those captured/bought and only tested. That is were i think is a good line.

Matchmaker already is and can be mixed, If you are fighting your same tank you are on even ground and should know how to kill it fine. Talk to Gaijin about compression if you hate these types of vehicles fighting your WW2 tanks, but keep in mind it’s not like IFVs and light tanks didn’t exist and weren’t used in WW2. Try to be open-minded and charge into battle with a solid plan and tactic that is right for your tank, why would it matter if you were fighting the same vehicles as yourself historical accuracy when it comes to war thunder is long gone.

It would be kinda ridiculous if countries were getting every tank or vehicle they had in museums. I agree that is not something that would be plausible and would be quite Ludacris. I mean many museums nowadays procure old tanks and vehicles to restore them and put them on display. So they aren’t captured or tested but bought and repaired. Take the Australia Armour and Artillery Museum they have a cool collection but it wouldn’t be correct to add a whole Australian tech tree because they have those vehicles.

I don´t care about that. I know where to shoot tanks, I play this game for 9 years now ffs. I don´t even play to grind anymore, because I already have all the vehicles I wanted. People like you ruined the game honestly. You only look at it as Counter Strike to minmax your games.
I just don´t want my immersion broken by hordes of same vehicles from 9 different nations fighting the same vehicle I have.
Why even bother grinding let´s say Leopard 2 when every single nation gets it?
It´s not about compression either. Some vehicles just have low BR because their design would not be meta if it was put into cold war era ranks.
It´s bad enough as is when my WW2 300kmh prop plane gets swatted out of the sky by a french cold war Marder chasis with 20mm rapid firing gun.
It didn´t have to be like this though.

That argument point has been stated before and is not constructive towards the discussion. I understand you may not personally want those vehicles in the tree but others do and many welcome any addition, although native vehicles would be better. Perhaps you don’t play those trees or you do so please let us know what your reason for not wanting those vehicles added is so you can give an actual counterpoint and bring your viewpoint in as a constructive point.

1- PMCs aren’t allowed in War Thunder.
2- There are already American production vehicles for their BRs.

Did people like me ruin the game? I was all for historical accuracy, but at some point, you have to understand some nations had better technology during the same periods than others. While it would have been nice it would be just as imbalanced in some aspects today in the same manner the current BR compression is now. Historical accuracy would be nice but doesn’t lead to inclusive gameplay the game needs to keep and accrue more players. A historical accuracy buff can always go play a game that is targeted with that in mind. You would probably get shot down by some other fast-firing 20mm or other cannon anyway that is the risk of taking in CAS, you have got to be prepared to take AA fire.

Definitely not. You grind other tech trees to acquire othe nation ideas/technology and play it in a different way Vs different tanks. You want to test out yourself what I possibly could be when KT will face M26 etc etc. I personally don’t want to see King Tiger Vs King Tigers or Mig Vs Mig and we have enough copy paste tanks already

I wasn’t I asked you nicely to elaborate more, if you think saying please elaborate is antagonistic I am unaware of how to try to take a less offensive online tone for the softer fellows among us. Also, nobody mentioned PMCs. I also stated it would have been nicer to see native vehicles but wanted to know your specific reason for not wanting to see these vehicles in the tree. You could have just said that you thought they weren’t needed and that the tree should have native vehicles added instead or first.
No one mentioned pmc the Americans had mig 21s and mig23s that they used in training which were in government hands

@NoreZi There are already many examples of the same vehicles fighting each other, like the German Tiger 1 which is in both Japan and Italian tree as premiums. Russian mig 15s and other migs can fight Chinese or German migs these aren’t uncommon to fight against each other currently. King Tiger already fights the M26 and so on. I am not sure what you mean by this.

Hell no. This topic and the idea itself.
I mean I want to play King Tiger and experience what could have King Tiger gunner experienced in a symmetrical conflict. By this, I want to see different tank in my scope, not another King Tiger. More funny and enjoying is to kill T29, T30 or T28 in a Tiger and vice versa. And by King Tiger I mean every tank in the game and I can state that we have enough copy paste tanks in the game and USA tech tree don’t need those tanks and planes. I am for these tanks in a lacking tech trees, like Italy needs a good top dog so we will get Hungarian Leo2A7HU propably and that’s a good addition.

T29, t30, and t28 never saw combat in ww2 so they would of never fought the king tiger.

Japan’s was tested officially by the military for potential adoption.
Same with the Italian one.
Chinese Migs are imports for military use.
Aggressor forces are primarily private companies, and not facing other countries.
On top of that they typically have the weapons themselves disabled in favor of simulated fake-kill systems.

US specifically? No, it has enough indigenous vehicles to fill out it’s own tech tree.
However, smaller nations like Sweden could recieve Russian aircraft if there’s any evidence to support captured or tested Russian aircraft by scandinavian nations.
Additionally, Italy could recieve Hungarian aircraft of Soviet origin as well.
