America should get other Nations vehicles like the MiG-15 bis, MiG-17, MiG-19, MiG 21, MiG23, MiG-29A, Su-27 MiG Me 262, King Tiger, etc

The United States captured all of them, so it’d be cool to see some of them somehow be added to the US Tech Tree. I’m not saying all of them, but maybe a few.

(You can read more about it here, and here’s a video by Tankenstein a talking about it)

This is not fake, this is in Ohio - here’s where I found it

The Mig-23 is in Colorado in the Wings Over the Rockies Air Museum

give me some feedback, also I’m mostly serious about World War II vehicles I don’t really care much about anything after the Korean War.

(sorry mods)

(edit/side note, I did some thinking and I feel like this could be used in a way to help grind out other Tech trees, for example, if you unlock a captured/Lend Lease vehicle in One Tree, you unlock it in the tree it originally comes from; or captured Vehicles could be given as a reward for excelling at a specific BR or killing a lot of one Vehicle like over 1,000x, but keep in mind this is just a surface-level idea, which means it has flaws and is not perfect.)

(another edit/side note | they could also be added BUT not as event vehicle, battle pass vehicle, or a normal Tech Tree vehicle, but more as a reward for researching all of the tech tree (research and purchasing in spading every vehicle in the tech tree, air and ground), you’d still have to research and buy them tho. you’d also need to be lvl 100 and have 2/3 or 3/4 of all the medals. the reason for so many requirements would be to prevent oversaturation or use of those vehicles in battles, also I feel like many players of the nation the vehicles do come from would be more okay with the idea of them being added.)

what do y’all think (this is not for the edits/side notes)

when did Japanese ever use the B-17?
Never (in combat that is), they only flew it for testing and that was it.

Should be perfectly acceptable for the US to have captured vehicles. I mean they already have some captured vehicles and many other nations do as well even some lend lease vehicles.

During World War II the Russians sent the US 2 T34s for testing and evaluation

In that case, they should remove it. If they add every vehicle a nation had at some point for some reason, then basically every nation should have most vehicles. At least ww2 wise

Just so you know, the game added a lot of captured vehicles (mostly premium) in the early days of war thunder, but it’s no longer welcomed. In fact, Gaijin has dozens of different captured WW2 planes that has been sitting in the files for well over 5 years, and they’ll most likely never be added.

Unless a certain nation has a significant BR gap that desperately needs a candidate to fill the gap while there aren’t any domestic options available, adding captured vehicle just isn’t a popular opinion. If you want to play those Russian/German vehicles, just go and play those nations. If the US capture skin is all you cared, just download a user skin from WTlive.

Yes and the US provided them with some vehicles during WW2 with the lend-lease act. Giving them M3 stuarts and M4 Shermans along with trucks, jeeps, and tractors. So it is no question in the game either since Russia has an M4 Sherman so there should be no reason Gaijin can argue as to not give America the vehicles of these nations they have acquired through various methods.

The last thing they should do is remove vehicles or keep them hidden in the files. These vehicles give these nations a variety to choose from and fill lineups. They have already crossed a line giving nations vehicles that in some cases were only tested. They have taken some instances of these vehicles from the game like the Heavy Tank no.6 for Japan, which used to be a premium and they got rid of it but can still be bought as a coupon from the market from those that have the coupon for it.

On a less serious note: all the people saying “No” don’t actually have an argument other than “WaS iT ACTuAllY UseD???.”

More serious note, other countries get vehicles from different countries all the time, hell some minor nations are basically 75% other nations vehicles until they hit high tier. I’m not saying add every single vehicle the US acquired from other countries, but at least give us some. The one the US has currently are either REALLY low tier (ZiS-30 LVT) or props that don’t have the same ordinance that the normal versions do (US BF-109 and FW-190 for example). I know the M60 AMBT exists, but it’s over 300 USD lol.

I joke to all my friends by saying the US should get the Tiger 2 H, not because it’s particularly good but because it would piss German players off. Again, as a joke. On a serious note, I feel there should at least be one or two captured tanks in the tech tree, even as premiums, but don’t make them 4.0 or below. Not saying make them 11.3, but still. Somewhere between 5.0 and 8.3, you could EASILY fit a couple captured tanks. Maybe a Tiger 1 of some sort, or a T-34. As for the jets, I think the early MiGs like the MiG-15, 17 and 19 wouldn’t be a bad idea. Maybe the MiG-21, but not a late model.

Ah yes same team with F-2 Sabre and MiG-15bis/MiG-17?

Fuck no

I mean yea if other nations can be comprised of another nation’s vehicles because they used them I don’t see a valid reason why America shouldn’t get Panther, Tiger, and Tiger 2. There is clear evidence that they not only captured and in such cases used these tanks even during the war. But that is not even strictly limited to the 2 previously mentioned captured vehicles.

Lol, no. How about adding none of them.

If you want to play those vehicles, play the other trees.

Depends on if you mean for combat or practice. If you mean combat then idk but they definitely did dogfights from the Mig-21 and up, and likely earlier ones but I haven’t ran into interviews online with US pilots flying anything earlier (not that I was really looking, I just happened upon some interviews with a US pilot that was trained in the Mig-23 and another in the Mig-21).

Absolutely not.

It’s bad enough the UK has a T-90 and the Germans have a Swiss variant of a British design.

What’s next? Iranian F-14 in Soviet tree? Captured T-90M in US tree? How about a MiG-25 in the Japanese tree?

How about no. No desire to have those vehicles in the US tree. There are plenty of US vehicles that could be added no need for captured/acquired vehicles.

Well, in this case, the vehicles of the United States and other countries seized by China’s military museums during the Korean War can also be used as part of the science and technology tree. after all, according to your opinion, non-domestic vehicles captured by any means can be on the science and technology tree, such as M-26, M19/40, M3A3, M4A2, M4A3, M24, M36, M41/155, etc. Then what Russia seized in Ukraine can also become part of the science and technology tree, after all, there are M1A1, CV90120 and other NATO equipment.
So please be realistic. I don’t know why you have such a suggestion. Can’t American vehicles compete with vehicles such as the Soviet Union / Russia? I can even ask the conspiracy theory, why do you only cite Soviet / Russian vehicles obtained by the United States? Why not give examples of non-NATO countries such as the Soviet Union / Russia to obtain vehicles from U.S.-led NATO countries?

I agree. Everyone wants US vehicles because their tech trees would be empty and/or suck without them, and plenty are fine with captured/lend lease American vehicles within tech trees that absolutely don’t need them such as Germany and Russia, but sure whenever someone wants to give the US tree a few captured/tested vehicles everyone loses their minds.

It’s just simple US hate. Be consistent and make every tree either produce the vehicles domestically to be included or give the US the vehicles.
